Hodgson is the lightning conductor. But not responsible for years of underinvestment in players; the failure to re-invest any part of the AWB monies; hiding behind FFP; new contracts given to serial underperformers; taking huge personal reward out of the club; and the failure to advance the new stand development. Arthur Wait and Ron Noades managed their respective stand developments in 12 months "door to door". It really is not rocket science.
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Pay the price end of it's settled This whole trying to force them to sell and claiming they are overpricing that is ridiculous this is business and he would be doing the same he pulled dirty tricks to get the club for 0 in the first place. He is a con man even the claims about the new stand and how much it will cost generate etc was complete BS. The guy would love the stand if he pays 0 for it but as usual anything that means he has to use his money he has no interest (people like to blame the Americans but its not them they have put way more in then he ever did plus he is the one running the club taking fees out for his other businesses linked with it this is why he wont ever sell up his stake)

He ain’t got no money to speak of. £30 m asset value they reckon which probably means £5 m in cash to play with. If he was a big dog he would not need a massive taxable salary like the one he draws and pays half to the taxman.

I have always been of the opinion that possible buyers have been put off by SP wanting to keep control. Any potential buyers would want full control and bring their own people in. Unfortunately cannot see that happening and I am afraid, next season will see us leave the PL

Not nice to hear - as it's easy to pour scorn when you don't know what parameters he's working to. He's done a good job, a little conservative at times (i.e. sticking with RH, not spending any of the AWB cash), and not wanting to overspend when at times you need to. Fair enough really when you look at the times he has done it (looking At you, Tekkers) I dare say that because of this he doesn't care one bit how we play - but it's all about where we finish. To that end, RH will stay until he either Retires, or we're nailed to the bottom of the league. I don't think he'll be proactive enough to move before this. As for the Stand, I think his intentions are good, but wants to get the best deal from it, rather than just throwing money at the problem. Overall, he's improved the Club a fair bit, though he has slightly ignored the 1st team affairs. I can forgive that, but it's becoming more and more pressing for him/someone to address the issues in our squad. Theres only so many times you can plug a dam before it bursts!

SP has been responsible for:- Getting us out of administration. It reminds me of the Monty Python sketch "What did the Romans do for us?". Compared with the old gangsters Noades and Waite he is a paragon of fair dealing.
