I thought I would post this I hope you enjoy it.

We have a colony of bees that nest in our willow tree, once a year they swarm as the hive cannot support their numbers.

They had landed on a rose bush which was not good for them or us residents. Our local lady beekeeper came along yesterday and took the surplus to a new safe home.

Interesting lady i could have spent hours chatting to her about bees.

The last video is of the bees arriving in their new hive.

Home sweet home

Her hives are just flat boxes apparently the traditional white hive with the pointed roof isn't very practical. When her bees become tight for space she just puts another box on top.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
