Thought this merited its own thread.

IMO Wilf remains a great player. My best possible scenario for him is that he remains at the club to form a formidable partnership with Eze to terrify PL defences and score many goals. I'd also hope he cheers up.

His ambitions are well known here but perhaps his attitude has dented his chances of achieving them.
He is too easily wound-up and many defenders know just how to do this. Is it to late for him to change his attitude?

He has been a great player for us and without him we'd not be in the PL. We should never forget that.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

tiger Woods was brilliant at keeping his composure under enormous stress. It is the mark of a champion.

if Wilf can improve this, he can play in the final of the champions League.

PSG couldn't manage to do so, so not an easy task.

Eze Peasy at Anfield....

No ones forgetting how great he HAS been for us. But that really has very little to do with how he is for us now.
Lazy, disinterested, lost his pace and had an attitude problem. Not as good as he thinks he is.

Thanks for the memories Wilf - but time to go. Eze is already better than you.

Disagree. He’s just not good enough for that level. Wouldn’t get in Chelsea/City/Real or PSG team.

I thought he was Palace's worst player today, and with Ward on the pitch, that's saying something. His transfer value falls with each game he plays. His reaction to Eze's goal was revealing: no particular celebration; just incomprehension as to why Eze didn't square the ball to him. It's clear also that he has no particular chemistry with Benteke. Wilf just looks brassed off all the time these days.

not the current Zaha. But the player he has been in the past ?

you seen how bad PSG or Real are capable of being ?

He is not good enough for that level. Might have been once but something about Wilf, now is not where it should be, compared to the player he has been. It could be attitude, but is it? He starts to look like a player that no longer has the physical condition of the past . The pace is not there, the vital quickness of thought, is lacking. And maybe most telling is the lack of a trick . It could all be down to a nagging injury, but if it is it’s not public. Still gives the opposition food for thought, but he doesn’t terrorise any longer. Not the form for Champions league.

I am sure he is nursing an injury at present so I wouldn't judge him just yet. I would much rather him be in my team than facing him. I think he just might remain at Selhurst, fingers crossed for me.

My fingers are crossed for the opposite. Time to go.

Don’t hate on Ward. He was good today.

Good servant

Some players start to go over the hill earlier than others and i'm afraid we've seen the best of our talisman. Magnificent player that he's been, the spark isn't there any more. He has lost pace and rarely goes past defenders now. Don't get me wrong he is still a very good player but nobody will pay 50m for him. A new manager like Howe or Lampard with fresh ideas may just re-invigorate him though and get him going again. He should have been subbed today but he's untouchable

If he is nursing an injury he won’t play the next game. Be interesting to see. His pace is definitely not there at the moment. I hope he will get it back. I don’t see him going anymore. If he does it will be for £30m. I’d rather keep him fir that.
