Just hear me out. Then jump down my throat.

Bale is out of contract in the summer, and Real Madrid apparently wants rid in January. At any cost.

You have to think at this point, at least short-term, Bales' motivation is not going to be money. Rather, he needs to be fit and sharp because probably the two most important games of his career in terms of his legacy are being played in March. Wales are two games away from qualifying for the World Cup Finals.

So it's entirely possible, even likely, that right now, the most important thing to Bale, at least for the next five to twelve months, might just be finding a club in a top-class league that will get him fit and give him playing time.

And then you think about Osian Roberts, who seems by all reports to be the Godfather of Welsh football.

OK, I'm putting two and two together and making six. On the other hand, stranger things have happened. And among other things, John Textor seems to like to make a splash.

Not saying it's a good idea. Not saying it's a rumour. Not saying anything at all really. Just reading the runes. Speculation. Then again, eight months of Gareth Bale playing for the last big stage of his career. Well, for a club that's looking to move up in the world and put itself on the map not to mention one that has a genuine problem scoring goals...

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

I’m not going to jump down your throat at all syd.

Some sound reasoning there and whilst I don’t think it at all likely, you never know.

The only reason bale is not playing for one of the other big boys is because of his wages, id be disappointed if I supported a big club and they signed him but I think atleast one will take a risk with him in January, bale would rather retire than play for a club of our size.

Some sound reasoning there Syd, i seem to remember couple of seasons back when ZZ was doing his utmost to get rid of him, he turned round & said he will stay at Real till end of contract, just to pee them off.

I cant see him going anywhere in Jan.

He needs to be playing somewhere in order to be nice and fit for upcoming World Cup and Nations League games.

Bale walks into the Wales side whether he's playing regularly or not.

Could be a very good fit. Depends on his relationship with Roberts.

Interesting idea Syd. However, he's a greedy fellow and will want his kilo of flesh and more. Let Newcastle top up his bank account.

It's nice to know that we are sticking with the youth policy.

I was just going to say there's a news now report out today that Callum Wilson may be out for months (not weeks) NUFC offer very little up front without him, it could well be that Gareth Bale & NUFC decide that there is something in this for both of them.
