A few comments regarding the pitch last night and this morning from various pundits saying the pitch was 'difficult' for Man City .

Did look a bit sandy in parts but does anyone know if it is indeed having problems or is it just excusues ?

At the end of the day its our home pitch and we can prepare it how we like

And we still need a striker

It's known as "Home advantage".
Man C also failed to score against us on the pristine pitch at the Etihad.

Agree the pitch didn't look as green as normal, and doesn't appear to be wearing as well this season.

The pitch is the same one that most Prem teams have, so pretty sure there is nothing questionable going on.

Might just be the lack of sun and heavy rain we've had over the last few months.

Some clubs use UV lighting, not sure if Palace do likewise.

The grass appeared to be cut much shorter than usual. I suspect we prepared it that way to assist a faster pace to the game than Man City would have liked.
Hence, Pep's comments in the press conference about "Champions League & Premier league pitches."

Taking issues with the pitch.
Could not score despite having 74% possession.
Violins,Mantovani.

Looks ok to me. Sure it would have been fine if they had won.

I found Pep a poor 'loser' last night (dropping 2 points is tantamount to a loss for Citeh). He was both sullen and ungracious. I also noted there was no warm handshake etc. with PV after the game - a curt touching of hands and off he stormed with a grim look on his face. Clearly not a happy bunny - are we possibly seeing a repeat of Keegan's Newcastle blowing what at the turn of the year looked like a cast iron title?

As tough as gun metal with a voice akin to a depth charge and a hide like a pangolin's undercarriage.

Clearly deeply upset that his team did not secure all the points and at the end looked like one disappointed hombre.

It did look strangely in poor nick, we get so used to it looking like a bowling green these days. Still if it rattles the big shots then let’s leave it like that for Arsenal.

I miss the mud baths and sand pits of yester year, there was no sodding about at the back, sorry I mean playing it out from the back then, that’s for sure. You took a chance even passing back on those pitches

surely, this would have assisted City's passing style. Not sure if it was shorter, just looked a little warn in patches.
