Is this the start of a Labour split?

I am impressed with Starmer's steadfastness so far, let's see if it continues.

His poppy incident was an embarrassment though.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'm not sure I can name anyone from the shadow front bench. Perhaps they could call it the invisible front bench.

Swings and roundabouts.

Will the loss of the Muslim and rad-left support be balanced by gains/savings elsewhere?

I suspect they may lose a great deal of support, but would it make any difference? Bradford East etc. may fall, but it would be gained by an independent, not the Tories. This would happen in areas with a large Muslim population which, given their propensity to concentrate in limited geographic areas, won't be as many constituencies as you suspect. Also, many Muslims may not vote elsewhere but may abstain, thus leaving Labour in control, albeit with a reduced majority.

Thus, a few safe seats lost and a reduced majority but not one to make a difference.

However, calling for a ceasefire may alienate a significant chunk of voters eager to swing away from the Tories. That would be very damaging.

Starmer may also use this conflict to pare away more electoral liabilities and leave him with a stronger (looking) more unified (appearing) representation.

Politics, eh?

Especially if the General Election is held between 10th March and April 8th.

It's Ramadan.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

A small embryonic moment in the eventual rise of Islamic politics in this country.

This is something that out self serving politicians and the egalitarian idiocracy needs to wake up to very quickly.

Much of the damage has been done already.

All those muppets with their moralising and virtue signalling at dinner parties need to know that Islam will have no time for them in the new order that they will be plotting.

I hope they do implode BUT i heard it said that the one that resigned was of a few if not the only staunch Corbyn supporter on the Shadow front bench.
So not a total surprise.
