This man is all over the news this morning and Simon Jordan on Talksport is rightly asking questions.
Cruelty to animals is a bad thing in any circumstance but to then video it and put it out on social media - it beggars belief!
I have to say that I have not watched said video - I have no wish to - but assuming what I am hearing is true then he should be drummed out soonest.

The video is pretty shocking really.

It was apparently posted onto social media by his brother - what an idiot!

Interesting to see how it plays out. Will he play for West Ham again?

Simon Jordan said that if does this on video the likelihood is that he does it off camera as well and I agree.
If you hurt animals you likely do it a lot, not just the once.
My punishment would be to be dropped by West Ham for 6 months, give those 6 months wages to animal rescue charities and have his pets removed and he and his family never be allowed to own one ever again.

Did he put the video online himself? If so what a dimwit haha

edit: Oh, I just read that it was his brother. Not much better then.

It's almost not as bad as I expected it to be (which shows how routinely horrendous animal abuse cases can be), but still disgusting abuse. As has been said, if this cruel treatment is happening in a recording, what take place when the camera is turned off? Disturbing that this is normalised within their family, and laughable that he now tries to paint it as a one off and that the cats are beloved family pets.

I agree, drop him for a time, dock his wages, and ban him from having pets. And if he's ever found to be doing the same in future, throw him in jail for 6 months to think about his actions.

Ironically, if they did ban Zouma for a while, he might just sit around all day, having frequent kips without adherence to any apparent schedule, just waiting to be fed and having the occasional run out in the garden.

Might develop some empathy for his feline counterparts, just need to get him to 5h!t in a tray and interrupt my work zoom meetings occasionally too.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

West Ham will do very little or a token punishment as you expect so it’s up to the FA and premier league to find some rules he’s broken and for West Ham not to appeal.

He should be forced to wear a cat onesie by law, both on and off the pitch.

Surely the RSPCA and police should be involved .
Cruelty to animals is an offence by law .

Apparently the old Bill aren't taking 'further' action. Probably because there were no 'hurty' words used !!

They should be. Though unfortunately on the scale of animal abuse it's on the bottom end really. Even though animal rights laws have been toughened up somewhat over recent years, it still seems to be the go to of the cruel, as more often that not they get away with it.

I see the papers have found at least 1 ex premier league player who thinks Zouma should be fired / contract terminated - I guess how much coverage the story gets / how long it runs will depend upon how many other prominent people / voices they can find that were suitably offended.
