Yes, it's that time of year again...... remember to put your clocks forward by one hour tonight

(or you will all be late for church tomorrow...)

church ?

living in Ireland ? one runs the risk of being late for the re-run of the LGBTQ St Patrick's parade. And being an hour late for one's kids getting indoctrinated with some sexual weirdness.

My tongue was very firmly in my cheek when I wrote that...

They used to have a Saturday night mass in Ireland, so then you could go to the pub after and forget about the morning. Only the real hardcore would go to Saturday night and Sunday morning mass - although in the past the Priest would name and shame people not attending. I'm not even a Catholic but sometimes used to go just for the comedy value of it. They never gave you the wine either, just in case you got 'the taste'. All quite hilarious. Father Ted was more real than people might think. I haven't been for years, nor do most now. But it was literally everyone in the past.
A friend of mine from Donegal went to mass recently with her mum (it's always the mum), my friend - a woman my age - laughed about the bread being supposed to be the Body of Christ. Her mum turned round to her and said 'are you a f***ing prod?'.

I forgot to put my clock forward and I was late for work. You win some and you lose some.
