I was pleased to read that Speroni is now a permanent member of our Academy coaching staff. A popular bloke who will be a respected goal keeping coach for the youngsters I'm sure.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Excellent ... I wondered what had become of him. Noticed his restaurant in Purley was no longer there and thought he may have returned to Argentina.

His heart is red and blue. His mrs said he would just watch through the gates during training. I’m pleased he’s been bought into the fold. He wouldn’t be doing this for dollar; just passion and love. Dough would be a side issue for JS I’m sure.

When he departed I know we posted about him being worthy of a place in the coaching set up & then there was a snippet in some paper that he had elected to go off & get his coaching badges so presumably he has now earnt the initial coaching grades required to come back & coach at academy level - it wouldn't be much of a stretch of the imagination to consider that he will likely continue up the coaching scale as & when he collects any additional / relevant badges along the way -
