What did Michael Olise say in his interview?

“Talk us through it,” asked the reporter.

The reporter probably thought he was going to get an in-depth insightful answer from Olise but that wasn’t quite the case…

“I think Wilf passed me the ball. Shot. Scored,” Olise answered.

“It was a moment that captured the game, that won the game. What’s the feeling like when the ball hit the back of the net?” the reporter asked.

“It was a good feeling,” Olise replied.

“Do you feel you deserved it overall,” the reporter asked.

“Yeah,” Olise answered.

Brilliant.

I remember his interview after we beat Millwall in the cup last year - it was about as insightful as this one!

The bloke needs some media training as he comes across as a total drip. These sort of interviews don't make you warm to him as a fan. If he's not careful he'll become the butt of jokes like Kane is. But that said, at the end of the day his job is to play football and he'd bloody good at that.

We've written on an earlier thread that he comes across as a tad arrogant and disinterested when he's interviewed. I'm sure Willo has a point in that he finds the questions inane.

Personally, his attitude doesn't bother me if he continues to play with panache. If, like Goal Machine has written, it puts people off him, all well and good. I don't enjoy reading the all too frequent articles linking him with other clubs.

Hands off! I say and carry on responding to interviews with disdain.
