With Luka and Mcarthur leaving we will need a new captain.
There's doubt about the futures of Zaha and Ward and speculation around Guehi's future too which could impact on the choice of captain.
If Hodgson and Zaha remain I imagine Zaha may well be named captain with Guehi being another option if he stays at the club.

Right now I think the order is:
Zaha
Ward
Luka
Guehi

I would expect whoever remains to be in that list with maybe another (Decoure if his English is good enough?) to be added.

Don’t rule out Andersen. Captained Fulham whilst on loan and seems very vocal on the field

Correct, Andersen without a doubt

I would go for the other way round. For me, Guehi doesn't appear assertive enough on the pitch. Andersen seems more vocal and gives instructions and is not shy in doing so.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Zaha - as an extra incentive to stay
Ward - if he doesn't
Anderson - vice if Wilf goes

And if they don’t listen to him Andersen can always just punch them!

If we were to sell Guehi this summer, we could probably do a new CB being a 'captain' type figure, similar to Brentford picking up Ben Mee last year.

McArthur, Luka, Ward, Zaha, Guehi, Tomkins - if a large chunk of that group were all to go this summer - that is a lot of 'leadership' gone. We don't want to end up in a Chelsea state where it's kids everywhere.

Not thought about it enough to say that any of these options are the exact person to go for, and they could be the 3rd choice at the club rather than a starter, but someone like a Conor Coady, Jonny Evans, Rob Holding could plug a bit of a gap.
