What was the best Palace moment you've watched live apart from the Hopkin goal at Wembley (if you were there).

Mine would have to be Andy Gray's goal at Villa Park against Liverpool or Armstrong's equaliser against Man Utd also at Villa Park in the FA CUP. I remember being in tears (only 9 yrs old!!) and a lot of pain before Gray scored having nearly broken my leg falling off my seat and the thought of losing after such a good effort. I couldn't believe it when Hansen chested it up for Gray to nod in. Great set up and I forgot about my leg!

Your thoughts folks.

James

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Burnley. Nothing else comes close (cup final included). Liverpool (4-3) would be second, though. Chelsea away (3-2), under the Fedora, third.

Of recent seasons, agree with you on Man Utd (Armstrong goal). Also, I can't remember the oppostion but the two match killing-spree by Harry Bassett's team sometime around 97 when we scored six goals two weeks in a row.

The second game was home to Reading if I remember right, or maybe it was the first game was away to Reading, but anyway even though it was a "nothing" match, there was a period when we were just scoring at will. It was ridiculous. Carl Veart was making Ronaldo look like a journeyman and you had the feeling we were going to score every time we came down the pitch. It'sprobably the only time I have ever seen a Palace side play on sheer, absolute self-confidence.

It has to be Dougie's moment of magic in the dying moments at Stockport. I thought we were doomed until he saved the day after Hopkins superb control and exquisite 60 yard ball to Clinton. I just remember almost being killed on the terraces jumping around like a lunatic as the fans invaded the pitch in sheer joy. Unforgettable.

Mine has to be cup final 1990, Ian Wrights first goal..... I still remember getting home after the game and watching the goal a million times.

Motson commentary is still as fresh in my mind as it was then....

"Hers Wright, his first chance to show what he can do, and he's through, its Wright......oooooooo what an impact by the substitute !!!!"

He later said about the goal:

"there was a touch of the ricky Villa about that one wasnt there Trevor"

Saturday 12th May 1990. FA Cup final day. I know we just missed out but being 15 at the time it was just an excellent day. The weather, the journey, the atmosphere, the colour, and the performance of the team and the fans just made you so proud to be apart of Crystal Palace FC. I can still remember the day so clearly - the whole day from waking up, to going to sleep. Brilliant.

All of the above... The 6-1 was Southend (League Cup) then Reading away!

Another moment to add was Palace v Blackburn playoff final. The Wrighty goal in extra time set the whole of Selhurst alive. From the moment Wright scored the first we were always going to go up. Also the cool calm and collected Dave Madden reliably putting the ball just inside the right post for the penalty.

We seem to have missed out a certain 5-0 score from last year. That definately ranks very highly with me!!!!

Has to be the final whistle at villa park for the 4-3, knowing that we'd achieved what many thought was mission impossible. I never believed before that day that i would ever see Palace in the cup final.

Seems like a bit of a dream now!
