Todays second download is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted. They are called Mama's Boys and this is a gig recorded in San Antonio, TX in 1985. This is in superb quality and was also recorded and broadcast as one of the famous King Biscuit Flower Hour radio shows. The band consist mainly of three brothers Pat, John and Tommy McManus and they began in 1978. They released seven albums over a ten year period from 1982-1992. They had some limited commercial success with a couple of singles including a cover of the Slade song "Mama Weer All Crazee Now". They play hard rock - and they are top notch musicians. Todays first download is a set by The Who which was recorded at the Spectrum, Philadelphia in 1973. This is in superb quality and is a top notch sounding bootleg. I doubt if this was the whole show, but what is available is wicked. Songs mainly from the Quadrophenia album - with a few older songs as well. If you like The Who then this is thoroughly recommended...... Todays second download is a set by R.E.M which was recorded in Berlin in July 2008. This is in superb quality and was recorded and broadcast on digital radio. A top notch performance by the band with a great tracklisting. I've posted loads by R.E.M in the past - as well as gigs from this tour... this is another crackin' bootleg... thoroughly recommended......
