If he's coming I'm sure there won't be an announcement until after Bournemouth's home game against Plymouth today. 'Eddie the prospective Eagle' would be focussed on getting three points for AFCB - anything else would be disrespectful to their fans and as fellow football supporters I'm sure we wouldn't want that? There are a few negative comments from a small minority of Palace fans. We are not cut adrift at the bottom of the table and there are still 21 games left to turn our season around. Our Youth team is flying high and we have an exciting future under proper Palace supporting owners who will provide a solid base for our management and provide funding to strengthen the squad. Add to that our superb loyal support and you can see that we are not the cash-strapped struggling club that the media paint us out to be, they even have quoted us being second from bottom when we are in fact third from bottom in the Championship table and very close to the teams above us outside the relegation zone. To sum up we are a much more attractive proposition for a new manager than many other clubs and are in a false league position and very much under-achieving mostly because of our key players have been out through injury until recently. Our home form is good and an improvement in our dreadful away form will see us pull away from the relegation zone.

There has been more than enough speculation and hope about Howe, and we will just have to wait and see. However I do feel that Butch Wilkins seems to have been completely overlooked. We don't need a manager at Palace, as all that is done by CPFC2010, what we need is a good coach. Wilkins fits that bill, just look what has happened to Chelsea since he got the boot.

I agree completely. Sheffield United are a far worse team than us and if I were a blades fan I'd be far more worried than I am now.
And before anyone mentions that they beat us up there I'll point to the fact the referee gave them a pen that was no way a pen and awarded a goal that was a mile offside, meaning we should have won that game 2 1 instead of lost it 3 2.
We are by no means relgated yet. To listen to some of the pessimistic prats on here you'd think we only had 1 game left to save ourselves

apparently there is a rumour on the bbs that Howe is going to take the Charlton job as they have offered more money. Will be gutted if true, they really are train spotting c*nts and hope they stay in league one
