I find it alarming that people can go from loving Eddie Howe because he might come to Palace to berating him because he has the nerve to join someone else instead.

See that thing away from your pc screen? That's reality, that is. Please go out and experience it so you can get a grip on it.

I thang yew.

Life is liking someone and being prepared to give them a chance... to hating someone and feeling like you have been stabbed in the back.

To go from thinking Howe would join the Palace to finding out he has turned us down for one of our most hated teams...... A BITCH!!!

Worrying.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

SKY SPORTS JUST POSTED THIS!

IF SO I HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR THE GUY!

[Link]

No quotes,no mention of interviews, approaches, nothing.it's just speculating what we already know.something happened last night.you do realise SSN is not god?(although I would pray for Milly Clode)

Might as well be Tribal Football or the Mirror,it's just the latest trend, same with the odds, they mean little in terms of the physical appointment or cold fact.

Merely a glorified indication of there being no smoke without fire...

If skysports have it right about Sousa, Hill, Coleman and Magilton then its a bit of a poor move from CPFC2010 to sack Burley and not have a manager for replacing him

Good post Carter however i do agree that it was time for Burley to go. It would seem we now have limited options. I would have liked to see Howe at Palace just to see how good he really was but surely in our position it would have been a big gamble.

Rather than any of the mentioned candidates i would like to see Paul hart given the job for the rest of the season with Dougie as his assistant. We know he has the stomach for a fight. This would give CPFC 2010 6 months to go through a proper process and identify the right man in a sensible period of time.

I also have to say i do not think doug is the man for the top job. Assistant yes but in the fight we are in not the top job. I would hate to see a legend go from hero to zero as we have done in the past. He is a manager for the future not now.

hill or magilton of the ones mentioned on sky website, magilton did a good job at qpr before he was surprisingly dismissed, because he knows the championship maybe i'd go for him over hill.cookie coleman nice guy but no thanks, sousa can f**k off.

If he joins us, he may not know it for very long.

So,he had 2 lots of talks with us, one being on Friday.he wasn't immediately appointed manager, was he?So what if SSN are reporting it,people on here were speculating it had already happened yesterday!

Cheers Geoff, I agree with you, I would of loved Howe to come here (still might). Yeah it was right for Burley to go because of the results. The rumours about signings JV, BWP, Reda Johnson other Plymouth bloke and Rowlands got people excited and I think they all could of made a difference but thats in the past now. I would like Hughton rather than all of the others above. And yeah your right about Dougie too, I would hate to see his team being booed off the pitch after a match and maybe getting us relegated, wouldnt do his rep to good.
