Just to add to the overall confusion and anxiety....

this has just been tweeted by someone 'in know' at Bournemouth: Spoke with EH This morning and he's going to turn down Palace and take the Charlton job 100 pc reason for leaving is Sly and Eddie M

EDDIE HOWE TAKEN CHARLTON JOB !!

The earliest post on that account is from 3 hours ago, saying that Eddie Howe is going Charlton. Surely it's just a wind up twitter account? I find it strange that because somebody says they are in the know some people on here seem to take their word as gospel.

Who is taking it as gospel? Just another rumour to add to the other thousand. All the fun of the fair!

Ok maybe not gospel, but it seems a bit silly to even consider this as a rumour when it looks like straight up bulls***.

For the record I think it is bulls***, just thought i'd throw it out there into this sea of Eddie Howe hysteria

Fair enough, I think it's bulls*** too.

You know what the trouble is Brucie? We used to make shit in this country, build shit. Now we just put our hand in the next guy's pocket.

Charlton would be a controversal switch for AFC Bournmouth to swallow, given their relative competition in the league.

Well TBH, jaxxster...

This is football, anything happens in it and if you look on twitter page and then i hear it...? Just have a think dickhead!

No need to call me a dickhead. Im just saying its a very unlikely story that he'd go and sign a contract on a Sunday evening.

I wonder of Howe will be able to take the pressure at the moment from all the speculation from fans and media.

He has never been in this situation before.

My mind says lets keep dougie till end of the season, this whole howe drama is turning into a circus.

Some bad news if it is 'TRUE'...

My best-mate's, mate's dad knows Eddie Howe's agent and 'apparently' he is having talks as we speak with Charlton at the Valley ready to sign a deal tonight! :/

This is no bulls***!

Hope this isn't true as i really would like Eddie and who would we turn to next...!?

Sorry mate, that's bull. My mate's, gran's, garden gnome's, uncle's, dog had a chat with Ferguson earlier and he says he's never been happy at United and is doing the paperwork as we speak. Rooney wasn't playing today so that he's fit for the Swansea game next week, the first signing. Better luck next time.

I would only get him, if Coppell would join us in some capacity.

Howe has next to nothing experience and would need tobe nursed to be successful.

Absolute nonsense. Pure speculation - based on nothing. All the evidence (namely that he's thus far been EXTREMELY successful on his own) suggests otherwise.

What is the speculation you are referring to?

I voiced my opinion and this is all.

His experience, at Championship level and above that, does not exist. And this is a fact, not speculation.

Sort yourself out, before voicing an opinion!

He would need to be nursed...

Speculation. It is your opinion, but is a baseless one and all the actual facts suggest otherwise. He's worked on his own at Bournemouth and his record is incredible.

Coppell, who you want to 'nurse' him' was once in exactly the same position. He had nobody to 'nurse' him.

Why does he need experience in the Championship anyway? Do you really think the bottom of the Championship is that different to the top of League 1?

Add to that the fact that I can't think of a single manager in England who has enjoyed working with a Director of Football - it always ends in tears - and you have a good selection of evidence to demonstrate that it is certainly not me needing to sort myself out before expressing an opinion.

Success at a team like Bournemouth hardly counts as valuable expererience.

Coppell was himself nursed at the time by Ron Noades and he admitted it.

We do not have a Ron Noades on our Board of Directors now and, call him what you like, someone with experience in football at higher level would be needed to (nurse) assist him.

He was there today apparently. Hopefully just for a bit of scouting and/or to have a chat with Uncle 'Arry about what he should do.

if he was at tottenham v charlton then you can bet he talked to charlton, if they're in for him.

I wouldn't get too alarmed that Eddie was at the Spurs v Charlton game. He's undoubtedly gone to ask 'Arry for advice. Eddie was 'Arry's first signing when 'Arry was manager at Portsmouth, so they know each other well.

but come one, IF he was there surely no one is naive enough to believe there was no contact with charlton? what did they do, avoid each other in the lounge at half time or something? no chance. It would be unbeeleevable if he went to the pikeys but hey, then its onto plan B

I know - one of the most insulting and ignorant posts I've ever seen. Howe and Bournemouth - dismissed with distain. Coppell - only a good manager because of Ron Noades. Astonishing.

Maybe we're missing a trick here though - all this talk of Coppell being the returning hero when, all along, Ron Noades is the obvious appointment as manager. Quick - where's that Steve Parish thread?...

The Three Twerps were one twerp short... again!
