Don Rogers v Man U scoring our 5th in the famous 5-0 win in the 1972/3 season when he did a 'Pele' & pushed the ball one way past Stepney & ran round the other side of him. It's on the Centenary DVD & there is a brilliant commentary by the late Brian Moore, "it's going to be 5, it has to 5, it is 5"! ....... Sadly we went down that season!!!!

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

Dean Gordon Vs Derby 1-1 (H)(93/94 season i think?)

Nigel Martyn punt upfield, chested by Paul Stewart on halfway line to Dean Gordon, a sprint down the line and a 35 yard pile driver into the top right hand corner.

Always think that Chris Armstrong's shot getting stuck in the goal against, I believe, Wolves deserves a mention, purely for the fact that it's the most I've ever laughed at a Palace goal, well, apart from whenever Dele Adebola scored.

What stands out for me is the distant memory of a headed goal the like of which I have never seen since - nothwithstanding the fact that I clearly couldn't remember the opposition!
