This constant use of the word plastic seems to come with some confusion.
Now i'm not bored enough to dig up exact number but the way i see it is now Brighton has sold around 17000 season tickets and will get around 19000 home fans for most games you reckon about 11000 of these are "plastic" (difference between Withdene and now)

Well back in the good old Goldstone days Brighton had gates of around 20000 to 24000 and I know thats only when we were in the top flight but they were still true Brighton fans well before the influence of the Prem and Sky.

When you were in the prem 2005 i think you had 24000 average.

Withdene held only 7500ish so that didnt help us realising our true fan base.

My point is the Brighton fan base has always been there and now there is room to accomodate them.
And as with every club, the better it does the more people go to watch.

But here is the confusion, where are the missing 11000 fans from your days in 2005 to now? and if you stay near the top of the table and get back to crowds of 22000 then does that mean you too have 9000 "plastic "fans.

We can all say how many people we know who support a prem team who has a season ticket for the other's ground, blah blah blah, but the real truth is Brighton has been in the wilderness with regards to facilities for many years and now like back in the Goldstone days a lot of Brighton supporters and there will be many new ones due to older fans having kids now want and can support their club. I have met up with so many old faces that like me are now season ticket holders.

I believe your constant reference to plastic is just palace fans cluthcing at straws to deflect the positive changes in Brightons fortunes and I dare say we would have looked for any excuse to do the same to you.

I have the balls to turn up and meet my real Palace mates for a beer, who dont actually cry and whinge all the time about us, just grow up and accept the facts mate. No comments re caravan, or being an Inbred C@@t, as I think my deceased Mum and Dad might have something to say about that ? and my dad in fact was born near Selhurst and was a fan. I am sure he would have been so proud of the fans now if they all had the brains of you........

Yes yes, thanks for the education, in fact I just enjoy reading some of the Palace boys comments and then I get annoyed by people, such as yourself infiltrating our boards.

For the record I grew up in Surrey, not Sarf London and I live in West Sussex as you may be able to see from my posts (Creepy Crawley to be exact, have done for 9 years now)!
