Only 20 and started going regularly in the late 90s. For me my FAVOURITE ever player is Aki.

The GREATEST player I've seen is AJ. Closely followed by Moses. Both are the only players I can remember who were worth their entry fee alone and could make something happen out of the blue. Will never forget VM's goal against Barnsley.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Eric Young. I've not had the same confidence in a center back since. I used to love night games and seeing the sweat explode off his headband everytime he made a header. I saw him play far more than Ian Wright, otherwise I'd plump for Wright obviously. Also a big fan of AJ and Chris Armstrong as I liked their direct style and willingness to run at people.

Tomas Brolin was a big favourite of mine as a Sweden fan but I was at uni and never got to see him pull on a Palace shirt (thankfully, from what I've heard!).

Its always been and still is Billy Gilbert for me.

a centre half with pace and a touch of class, hard as nails as well, was noted for being the best central defender of that era not to gain an england cap.

Made in Bromley

It has to be Don Rogers for me, he could be inconsistent but most players with that talent are, those of you that have never seen it watch the 5-0 Man Utd video and you'll see one of the greatest individual performances of all time.

This is the hardest thread ever!

However has to be Kenny Sansom...the most consistently brilliant defender ever and fantastic going forward

An honourable mention to Ian Evans...best CB I have ever seen

Best midfielder ever ...Geoff Thomas

Best Forward...Peter Taylor...would destroy teams single handed

Best Goalie...Jules

Kember is worth a mention - bossed midfield in the sixties and then came back as the old head among the young guns.

Got to be Jim Cannon all the way, followed by Ian Wright and Mark Bright.

Give it another 2 years and Speroni will be way up the list (if he stays)
