Halifax in the mid seventies, it was a heap - no really a slag heap formed part of the terrace.

Or Layer Road Colchester, as the song at the time went "layer Road's a cabbage patch" and it was. Wooden terrace that bounced when we got excited.

Oldham, hulls old ground, stockport, bristol city in the 80's, torquay

I used to like Boothferry Park..remember winning up there with being that close to the pitch I felt like I was standing next to Alan Irvine when he crossed and next to Big Trev when he slid the winner in

A special mention must go to Enfields ground when we played them in the cup it was awful but it was a brilliant day out, we won three - two, David Price even scored and we continually spilled over the little concrete wallk onto the pitch every time we 'surged'....

I was there too at Enfield, Sash. I spent nearly the whole game just walking around the whole terracing by the touchline as there were no fences or barriers to stop us going the full 360. Novelty.

*do you think seeing as we went to so many of the same games we might actually recognise each other today? If we meet I'll sport a middle-parting and a mullet and a few pus-topped facial spots to help yer old memory along.

I was at the Enfield game too, it was the same day Brighton where playing Barnet. Our game must have been an early kick off or something because after the game we made our way across to confront the Weed. Seems forever and a day ago that one.

Luton is grim but getting lagging in the Globe and then moving on to Charlie Browns night club makes it a worthwhile experience

Newcastles current ground.

Best part of 300 steps up.

So steep climbing to your seat that you need a sherpa, mountain goat and oxygen.

And when you finally get there you are so far away from the other end that I brought binoculars last time
[ honest ]

And not forgetting that their fans are still labouring under the false apprehension that they are one of the greatest teams in the world.

always thought the old Stamford Bridge was a toilet,ok when crammed with 55,000 but 18,000 and snow

That's the image I had in my head. 89/90 season and we lost 2-1. I think...

The Goldstone was particularly bad in its last couple of years when the East Terrace was closed and grass was growing up through the cracks in the concrete. Mind you, I could see the funny side of it.

Still, the horrors of another one of those out of town trading estates (ToysR Us etc) which was built on the site is even more ugly!!

I'll have to find out whether the seaweed fans i know are still boycotting Toys r us, comet and whatever else is on the old Goldstone retail park.

Reading (Elm Park) ... got sold a ticket in the home end (despite being in FULL colours, with a MASSIVE red and blue striped hat), had a Police escort into the away stand ... we won 6-1 ... got lifted in the terraces down 10 steps and back up 10 steps. Fooking great fun!

Barnet (Underhill) ... the pitch is a slope and the away end is basically a concrete block with temporary seats that BOUNCED!!!

Derby (Baseball ground) SOULLESS place - reminded me of a cemetary.

They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance?

The bank of the Holmesdale before the stand was built. Standing on corregated iron has never been so much fun!
