Mark Bright is a legend.
John Salako is a legend.
Dougie is a legend.
AJ is a legend.

I have had chats with the above four and they didn't dissapoint.
The whole squad are nice guys at the moment, was a mascot in '08 against Sheff Weds, and Jules was the nicest.
Although he did get annoyed when Butts called him Julian. He demanded it be pronounced properly: Hulian.

John Salako was brilliant and also Gareth Southgate, those two stick out from when I met the players when I was a lad.

Recent years - Clint Hill - seemed like a top bloke at Player of the Yr bash , Shaun Derry and Matt Lawrence - nice fellas , and in the past - Simon Rodger - met him in the Blue Orchid - he was smashed at the bar - he was always giving the most effort on the pitch at the time - he had had a cracking game that day so , me and my mate told him - he was very humble and seemed a top bloke .

Chris Coleman.

Very pleasant and charming young man. Very happy to talk to us and wasn't in a rush to get away despite my brother in law being absolutely bolloxed and repeating himself over and over in the players lounge.

Geoff Thomas. Had a great alcohol ridden chat with him at Crystals after we were promoted in '89.

John Fashanu - in his loan spell at Palace - made a very young Bubbs a very happy boy (get your minds out of the gutter holers!).

George Ndah got me to hold his coke (Cola) whilst he signed my autograph booked once and said I could have some..

I was just a shy young lad at the time so just took my autograph and went..

I'm sure all the others i've met were all very nice as well but i'll always remember getting George's autograph more..

Geoff Thomas is a really pleasant guy and I recall talking with him after FA Cup Final replay defeat. He said that he was really disappointed after the game for several reasons.Apparently Steve Coppell warned them that Man Utd,with all there experience, would put extreme pressure on us and we should not over react. However his first tackle on one of their defenders was over the top,by mistake as it goes, but they sucked us in and we responded and paid for it.Just to top it all when he got back to the dressing room his camera was missing, with all the photos he had taken pre-match.
Never did find out if he retrieved it.
Also Nigel Martyn is a great guy and when I said to him that he would get an England cap he said,no way there were many others keepers way ahead of him.
As we all know he did and had a great career!

However, the best for me has to be Johnny Byrne,a favourite of mine on the pitch as I was growing up and also a great guy who had a lot of time for us youngsters and would always go out of his way to chat about the club, his own ambitions, which were modest as it goes and his love for Palace.
He was an ordinary no frills guy!
