Cine film footage of a Palace training session in April 1983 - the Mullery era! Again like the last one, there is no audio. ( i was so tempted to put clown music behind it to depict the performances around that time)

In case anyone is wondering, here are the names of the faces that appear prominently in the first couple of minutes in order:

Ron Noades, Vince Hilaire, Henry Hughton, Kevin Mabbutt, Paul Hinshelwood, Mark Annon (i think?), Jim Cannon, Paul Langley, Billy Gilbert, Gary Locke, Scary Dog!, Alan Mullery, Ken Shellito, Les Strong, David Giles, Chris Jones.

Brilliant Bubbs - especially the kids breaking into the car at 30 secs

Know what strikes me the most - I would have been about 14 or 15 ish and it looks soooooooo long ago

Priceless. I was a 16 year old home and away fan then, having the time of my life. The fact that the team was rubbish then doesn't seem to affect what great memories I have of the time. All changed mind you later in the summer when I got my O level results.

Looks like Mark Annon at 0.45 - 0.50. He and I played in the same school team under Roy Hodgson when he was a sports and English teacher at Monks Hill (1975-76)! In those days the best player was Mark Stephenson ('Pusher'). Real shame Mark Annon never made it big.

I remember Mr Hodgson telling my mate James Lawrence that he was the best ever left back he had seen at that age! James' dad was Vernon Lawrence who produced 'Rising Damp' & 'Only When I Laugh'!
