Brighton fans...You couldn't make it up

I don’t know why some of you bite. So for the first time in my life Brighton have a (very marginal) edge over Palace. Same as Charlton a few years ago, they’re bound to milk it, let them have it. Though at least Charlton actually played in the Premier League. They’re irrelevant – and I don’t even mean that in a bitchy way, I just don’t know any Brighton fans and never have. Which must be the case for most Palace fans. What some people in Sussex write about us on an internet message board is really not worth worrying about.

Until you actually reach the premier league - something that Palace have achieved on several occasions and Brighton have never done, then all this talk of attendances, wages, who's better than who is irrelevant in my opinion. If you make it to the promised land then fair enough as we're a few seasons away from that currently, however, until then you're really just a wannabee club trying to emulate the success we've already enjoyed over the previous years. It's similar in a way to the Arsenal-Tottenham rivalry: Spurs fans getting very excited about reaching the champs league for the first time and spouting about how they are going to be the dominant force in North London from here on, but, Arsenal have been the better team for many years and everybody knows Spurs are the 'bridemaids' in that little relationship. One more point, as soon as Poyet treads on your heads and gets himself the top level job he craves then you'll be plummeting back towards the arse end of the league just like before. And he'll be gone within 18 months I'll happily bet. Enjoy the short term - Palace will be around to show you the way just like it always has been.

Bobbysmith........ who is Bobby Smith? Clearly some one who played for your lot a few years back and is a legend in Hove....... outside of that no one else is aware of him. Like the said player, no one else is getting excited but you and your new found friends that couldn't be bothered to turn up to watch you at the withdean. Yes, at the moment things are good, but as the previous poster says - when Poyet goes, everything will come down like a pack of cards. Enjoy it whilst it lasts and please have the balls to actually come back on here when it does happen rather than gobbing off during your brief moment of trying to get into the Premier League... a feat we have managed to do quite often whilst you were in the wilderness.

We do not spend the money on players or salaries, we are running a wise tight ship now and really can understand why you are not spending loads now after your admins, but you still spend more than us, and time will tell where we finish. But I really do think that we will finish at least 10 places abouve you, based on you losing some good players, Ambrose, Clyne and really not getting any players in with experiance at this level, Ward is a headless chicken, A trier, but not in the class as Bruno who has Champions leauge experaince, so has Lopez, the others we brought in have either premier or Europa league experiance, plus we have only lost Noone, who was a good player, but not a regular and we got 1.5 million, which has funded our transfer day dealings, not bad Business. lets have a chat at the end of the season to see how well we done. Yes you might beat us again, as you went from the the worst team I have seen after 30 mins to one of the best we saw, it was so weird, we stopped playing. Murray if fit and nt sulking, will score you about 10 goals this year, Zara will get 1 pen and dive for 20 and get booked and sent off and sold for 1000 million in Jan, your goalie will finally join the Circus and your winger from bristol City, be ready to be entertained, that is all i will say. You started so well in that in that post too.. I hear the twaddle ad infinitum because i live in eastbourne. A town where 2 yrs ago i saw more palace shirts than tesco nags. For what its worth you are no different than they are and you are entitled to your moments of glory, after living in our shadow for so long . Bobby Smith was the England Center Forward that we signed in the 60's, it was like Palace signing Rooney today, big news. Yes loads of people know who he is, maybe not young people like you, ask your daddy. I think you beleive all things you read on Palace message boards, the Withdean was between 90-100% sold out each game, it was not always full as some small teams like Palace could not sell their 900 allocation of tickets. I find it remarkable that we did sell out out season tickets as it was a horrible place to watch fotball. So i understand why you lot only get between 10-12k each week, with the same logic. Yes Poyet will go one day, you keep saying that, bet he is here a long time after Freedman is sacked though. Yes remember Palace in the premier leauge, 9-0 V liverpool was it ?. I think you will find we are only responding to the s***e that you lot write. I actually do not brag about where we are now as it has taken years in the wilderness, no cheating like you lot and paid our way and we are now back, stronger and healthier, please just accept it and move on and stop going on about your wondeful history, where you you have won the Micky Mouse cup, had 2 admins, lost thousands of fans, play in the worst ground in London and had the most awful kit ever known. Not a great history?, we have won a lot more than you n that time, fact, oh you have been above us for 35 years (actually you have not, check the facts and you have had bigger crowds than us in the last 35 years, actually again incorrect, but dont let a good lie ruin your jealousy.

blimey I thought you had gone for good..only answer questions when it suits you dont you?
