Great memories of that day, going up on the train from Kings Cross...and having our bus bottled on the way back from Elland Road to the station !

A reminder of just how good Peter Taylor was too....and the pace on Jim Cannon that day - never saw him move so quick !

That game stands out as one of the most memorable Palace games I have attended over the last 48 years.

A great day with such classy play from Big Mal's side.

I had forgotten about the Peter Taylor nutmeg in the second half though - brilliant, this was Palace humbling the mighty Leeds.

I also recall us beating Leeds at home in a League Cup match in, I think, 1968 (2-0?) .. and it wasn't a reserve side they put out either.

I was there. It was especially sweet, as I'd been a student in Leeds from 72-75, when Palace dropped from the 1st to the 3rd division (and all the derision that ensued from that), so to go up there and do them at Elland Rd was very satisfying.

I also manged to get very drunk, go to a party and get me leg over as well, so all in all, a good weekend's work!

I was at that game as a 12 year old sitting in the Leeds end with my Father and his brother, who lived up North and got us the tickets.
I remember not being able to contain myself when we scored and the abuse I got was scarey to say the least.

At the ned of the game I have the vivd memories of the Palace supporter coaches all being bottled by the Leeds fans

Apart from the Millwall home replay, I saw all the Cup games in that memorable run. We were brilliant that day and beat 3 top teams on their patch. Peter Taylor was pure class and big Mal was the mastermind.

I also saw the home league cup game in '68 and remember a Colin Taylor thunderbolt to give us a 2-1 win (I think!).

A stockbroker urged me to buy a stock that would triple its value every year. I told him, at my age, I don't even buy green bananas!

Headline in the Croydon Advertiser was 'David Slays Those Leeds Goliaths'. I still have a copy.

Probably the best goal I've ever seen scored at Selhurst.

Colin had a rocket of a shot....
