I really have to vent spleen on a 'same old subject'.

Came into work today to talk to one Brighton fan who pretty much agreed with me that their game was rubbish against a pretty awful looking Newcastle team and they also admitted they thought it was a dive that led to the sending off (I thought it was although admit that I may be biased on this one too so not so much stating this aspect of it as 'fact').

However, one very outspoken colleague came in and the conversation went something like this:

Him: "Did you see the game on Saturday?"
Me: "West Ham vs Man United? Wasn't it exciting?"
Him: "Nooooo, Brighton"
Me: "Oh god yeah, wasn't it dull?"
Him: "WHAT?! Best game of football I have ever seen?"
Me: "Are you sure you don't mean West Ham vs Man United? The Brighton game was like watching paint dry, my local non-league team would've beaten Newcastle"
Him: "No way, we played them off the park. We contained them and we dominated, it was like European football"
Me: "I don't agree, but you have to admit that was a dive that got Ameobi sent off"
Him: "Well, he definitely fell over"
Me: "Yeah, but I can fall over without anyone touching me, look, let me show you"

The conversation sort of ended there. I needed to post this somewhere because I am angry at how utterly deluded their plastic supporters are (he was a Leeds fan until the Amex was built). He was also crowing that the Amex wasn't even full (weird boast) so he should easily be able to get tickets for the Arsenal game. By the way, he also supports Arsenal as well as Leeds and Brighton so it's all good for him. Unless Swansea knock them out then "The Arsenal Game" would be a bad title to give that one.

Ask him if he wants a cup of tea, then wee in it, and rim the cup.

Would probably give him a boner if he knew. some sort of sick Brighton fetish I'd imagine.

Getting back to Pardew. I honestly think he'll be in for the chop before Easter. I can't see Mike Ashley putting up with much more of his teams poor performances. Even if they had 20 bods on the pitch against Brighton they wouldn't have won. He was on the local news yesterday whinging that he had a very weak team and needed to get into the transfer market.

His saving grace is the extraordinary length of his contract which is left. I bet Ashley is spitting feathers for offering that contract last season.

Shola Ameobi is one of the very worst ever PL players, although was a victim of pathetic refereeing, the Tampax wasn't full do to 2 large blocks cordoned off separating the home and away teams, Newcastle were simply abysmal and Super Al surely wont last the season.
