I haven't read the whole thread so this may have been mentioned before, but did anyone bring up the half-time presentation on the pitch on Saturday? Chelsea handed out Share Certificates to half a dozen of their newest investors, the last of whom was some chap called "Ivor" (lol). That about sums up modern football in the top four for you. Gone are the days where a couple of local schools might stage a five-a-side at half time; now it's the presentation of your newest financial backers to polite applause from the crowd. I have no problems with Chelsea fans generally but I'm bloody glad they're not my club and for all the titles we might win, if the cost is our soul then it's "no thanks" from me. You can have your Roman.
