A damning critique of the town our weed friends say is so lovely compared to Croydon. And from a long-time resident too: "The pick of the bunch is unquestionably London Road: a characterless, sprawling mess inhabited by benefit-scrounging peasants, waddling along with fat bags of economy frozen food from Iceland, puffing away on a cheap Mayfair and possessing an aroma not too dissimilar to the spinal column-infected burgers they feed to their asbo’d-up kids. Despite what the Clampets may believe, London Road is universally loathed." Interesting article. With football it's a great rivalry with Palace and I enjoy the rivalry mainly because it means so much to both teams and everyone else doesn't understand it. The town of Brighton certainly sounds like it needs cheering up. A new stadium looked to have done the trick but Palace's brilliant 1-3 win in September 2011 simply stunned them into mediocrity and long may it continue.
