8 academy players

Watford fan here... Can someone tell you manager that we have fielded 8 academy players this year which is the second most in the championship to Middlesbrough, yes this is more than you. I am literally clueless as to why the media believe anything that comes out of that wrongens mouth. That is all, should be a good game on Monday and before I get stereotypes as an arrogant watford fan I personally am very nervous and feel it will be whatever team turns up on the day

He's not having a go at you not using youth, he's having a go at the fact you have exploited the current system and used 13 loan players this year, 10 of which have come from teams your owner owns as well. Sorry meant to say 14 as Forestieri started as a loan player form Udinese then you bought him. Edited by liamcpfc92 (26 May 2013 12.53pm)

Fair enough but only Hoban and Doyley have made much of contribution to the first team haven't they? and then not to the level of you loan signings. Don't need to justify it to yourself, sit back and watch Udinese 'B'.

TBF Mr Zola they have a point..although its not just that we don't fancy them. Sean Murray seems more interested in going out clubbing etc which Zola and co won't like whilst Connor Smith/Tommie Hoban have been injured. Bond ofcourse is the reserve goalie and done very well generally when call upon. TBH Dyche didn't play many either. Malky was the one who brought a few through but they've not done much since with their careers. A few others have gone out on loan to gain experience and play games. Clearly Zaha and probably Williams are a cut above as youngsters anyway.. I only hope for the sake of the england team Zaha gets a chance at Man U and the same for Chalobah at Chelsea as clearly they are reallly good prospects. Edited by Superhorns3 (26 May 2013 2.10pm)

Bit bored with the watford loans issue, theyve done nothing wrong , broken no rules, get over it, got a big game tomorrow, concentrate on that.

But saying that youth players don't have a chance cos of the loans? Hoban and Connor smith were fancied by Zola until injuries and think all watford fans know that bond is going to be our number one in the near future. Murray struggles to play the defensive side of being a wingback but is still only 19 and again Thompson would be playing a lot more now of he wasn't injured due to a lack of fit defenders, I'm not trying to have a dig at palace fans, just generic anger for holloway from watford. And also the fact that the media believe what he said. If These "experts" could be bothered to do ten mins research they would be able to see the truth of the situation. With regards to our loans I can see both sides of the argument if it was another team I would be angry at it, but saying its not good for English football cos youngsters don't get a chance? Not true Also we have the likes of Britt asambolonga (however you say it) who looks s*** hot on loan and a whole host of bright talents that Zola has been keen to ensure One of the main reason we were bought was because of our academy I just want holloway to stop talkin bollocks about us, if he doesn't like the loans, fair enough talk to the league about it, but talking s*** about our academy, that a lot of watford fans are proud of, drop it out holloway

Last thing i say as I only wanted to clear up the fact we haven't abandoned our you is good luck. Should be good game both of us are really good attacking so hope you get a lot of goals. Rather you went up than Brighton tbh cos I think poyet is a c***
