Do we know which pubs are away fan friendly or is Stoke just altogether a friendly bunch ;-)

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Please read regarding 14th minute v Stoke' by staffie

Sadly a 14 year old Stoke fan was hit by a car recently and unfortunately past away. To show there respect the whole ground will be having a minutes applause for the young boy on the 14th minute on Saturday at the Britannia. Please join in with this applause and I know are fans will show respect like always.

Poor lad Palace fans will defo join in the minutes applause.

By the way will your club shop have the match day programme available by Friday 12ish?

Not too sure, it should be however there are usually sellers outside of the ground. Having said that as a home fan im ignorant as to what its like coming to our place in the away end if that makes sense!

Again as above, as a home fan every pub I walk in is friendly to me so I wouldn't really be able to give advice as to where to drink. Near the stadium I would advise you give the bowling club at heron cross (on claud street) a wide berth. It is pretty much 100% home fans compact into a very tight area and quite a bit of alcohol. You can park there by all means but its not the nicest place for you to venture even as a small group regardless of the result!

Were you thinking of drinking in a pub near the ground or 1 in a nearby town?

I was just thinking of a beer before the game kicks off. I'd normally head home after the game has finished. Scouse mate of mine suggested the harvester near the ground.

It was lovely to see everyone joining in for the minute's applause. Very sad to hear about this lad passing away.
