I think Rory Smith is a bit of the mark on some of his predictions especially as he has Villa beating us away but us beating them as well!

it's interesting to see the bottom 11's fixtures though in one place and I think he is giving the likes of Villa and Albion way too much credit.

still it is going to be close.

ps. I couldn't see anyone else posting this so please merge if they have and apologies!

The bloke seems like he has no idea what hes talking about!! He has given cardiff a chance of getting another 17 points but thinks we will only get 6??? Also he says at the beginning "all as bad as each other" people like him should just talk about how good man city are and not come any where near real football clubs.

He only has us winning 2 out the last 14 games, and no draws. Lose to Fulham, Cardiff, West Ham and Sunderland away? I am much more optimistic than that.

Another one predictiing doom for Palace without the facts to back them up..it's SOO last October!
Apparently Palace have not got a chance of getting points From Sunderland, West Ham, Cardiff and Fulham(! lets face it, EVERYONE should expect to get something from the fulham game) lordy.

Personally I'm surprised we have any points at all!

If all of the clubs in the Premier League finish the season with the same form they've had over their last 6 games (which of course is slightly meaningless due to some teams having had easier fixtures than others), Palace would finish 11th. Whilst I don't think that is actually where we'll finish, I still thought it might give a minor indication to our chances of staying up.

Think you're being a bit harsh on the fella. He's basically ignored form, transfers and strength of squad etc (which, given everybody is on a similar number of points isn't completely unreasonable) and then just highlighted in bold each fixture which meets the following criteria:

- Home game
- Not against somebody in the top 7

The lower end of his range for each team is then based on current number of points plus assumed wins for the bold fixtures and the upper end of the range is just this figure plus a few more points.

When you factor in that every single one of those clubs will be looking at their home six-pointers and saying "this is a must win game" I don't find this stance wholly unreasonable.

Whilst we might be looking at, say, Sunderland away and saying "we can get something out of that" you can be damn sure that the Mackems are saying "this is a game where we should / will be getting 3 points".

True, but isn't there a stat out there that says we have the best results against teams in the bottom half of the table? Just keep that going and Bob's your uncle I reckon.

We haven't even got the hardest run of fixtures. I am quietly confident because since Holloways left we have won the away fixtures we expected to win bar Norwich.

He isn't really predicting many results, just stating which games the teams themselves will be looking at as winnable. He is right, we do have a tough task on our hands but we have the ability (and I would guess, the belief) to ensure we do.
