If there are any United fans that have manged to obtain a ticket in the home ends, I hope that we do the right thing and get them ejected from the ground. I was reading on twitter that a few have managed to get tickets in the main stand. Anyone that has bought a ticket for a United supporting fan is a disgrace and should be BANNED for life. You make me sick ! Edited by c_block_shedevil (20 Feb 2014 1.19pm) As someone who's sat in with the home fans at plenty of away games I don't have an issue with it as long as they (as I am) are respectful. If they're not then kick them out.

Back in the old days if you were an away supporter you went in the away end(thats what away ends are for) and if your a home supporter you went in the home end! No. Back in the old days, there was no segregation and the crowd was made up of fans of both teams (and neutrals) standing or sitting together. Then the dark days came along, people started fighting rather than showing respect to their fellow but opposing fans, and segregation was introduced. It'll never go back to the non-segregated days, because there will always be a sizable minority of fans who prefer the confrontation to the sport. Would you really want mixed stands? It would completely kill the atmosphere created from noise and chants and remove a lot of the humorous banter and songs that go between sets of fans. Some people go to footie on their own - are they going to sing and celebrate as loud if they're amongst opposing fans? Probably not. Would not be a good move but will never happen anyway. Plus being sat right next to a ManUre to$$er when they score would just be bloody horrible. I didn't say I want mixed stands as things are - in fact I don't as I don't think it would be safe these days, especially taking my young son along as I do. Just pointing out that, in the past, people were able to sit together at football without beating several tons of sh*t out of each other. In an ideal world however, I'm like Kermit8 and would love to sit in an unsegregated stadium. You think you can't have an atmosphere or friendly and humorous banter if there is no segregation? I suggest you try to take in a Wales - England rugby international in Cardiff.

I don't want to upset c block she devil (especially as I'm also in C block!) but I did get a ticket for a work mate who was a gooner for their game in the lower Holmesdale. Went to the Pawson's beforehand & he happily chatted to the other Palace fans, knew more about Palace than I did! He left his seat at half time to stand next to me in C block & sing with us, even 'your support is f***ing s***' at the away fans. He'll be coming to at least another Palace match this season against another team to stand by me so I consider it converting him to a proper team. Incidentally another work mate is a season ticket holder in the AW for the last few seasons since moving to SE25, yet until then he was a Spurs supporter so I guess all those south Londoners previously support North London clubs are finally seeing the light! Saying that, I agree, buying a ticket for someone who supports them cheating, diving, manure scum is not on! :-)

You don't get any intensity or tribalism and these are the reasons why me and many others enjoy going to Palace. As posted previously on the thread, people act differently at football than how they would in society. That's half the fun. On topic, no problem with away fans in the home end as long as they are respectful. 'Palace fans' have had long enough to buy a ticket and still can so no one is missing out.

Am really not in favour of away fans sitting in the home end but if they do, the key for me is 'respect'... Don't wear any colours at all, don't dare celebrate the away team scoring, applaud politely as maybe a neutral would when Palace score and you'll just about be ok.. So, the bottom line is if a true fan, why would you want to sit in the home end?

The game would have sold out weeks ago ago if there was the demand. As it is there are 300 tickets left with only 48 hours to go. No Palace member nor season ticket holder nor their friends are missing out. So a few man u are scattered around. Unless it was a 100% sell out so what? AS long as they behave. Let's see how the atmosphere is when the Cantona masks come out. Oh wait I forgot, you're all Nigel's, you'll just bend over for them. I'll wait for the standard "go back to the 80's you hooligan" response from the train spotters. People are either stupid or pretty quick to forget what happened 3 months after that game. It's about respect. You wouldn't go to Juventus waving a Liverpool flag about.

For any Utd fans, especially relatives/friends of Palace supporters, there are a few do's and dont's. Please do not wear an Eric Cantona mask at the game otherwise you will be beaten up and ejected by the Whitehorse Massive. You should participate in the hand clapping of Glad All Over when the players come out onto the pitch. It has been known for strangers to cxlap in the wrong places, please look around for guidance. If Utd do score a clenched fist and a muffled yes is acceptable, however you should stay in your seat at all times. Any rendition of Au Revour Eric Cantona will result in you being cuffed around the ear by the person sitting behind you. For your own safety it is advisable to clap when Palace score as non- believers are easily identified at this point. Finally, lets all enjoy the game

If they start acting like morons they are fare game and will get what they deserve. I will not forget the past for the convenience of the Nigel's who live on a completely different planet to the majority of the rest of us Palace fans and at time are quite embarrassing. If a United fan celebrates near me I will have to clump him out of respect for an old Mate.
