Shocking performance today. No passion, desire or quality.

FFS is totally wasted on his own up front. Not one midfield player was up and around him looking to win the secon ball. Reminded me very much of how he had to play under Freedman.

As for Puncheon, I just dont see what he brings to the side at all. How we gave this man a 4.5 year contract is beyond me. In the Premier you cant select players that are so incosistent week on week.

I feel for the likes of Bannan and Gayle, for me they could offer far more than Jerome, KG, Puncheon and Thomas.

Officials also dire today, but not an excuse for our lacklustre performance.

Totally agree, with all comments above. especially last sentence.

Absolutely shocking today. Agree with whoever said about Bannan and Gayle, they're exactly the type of player we needed today.

Never have I seen us so heartless like that. Every ball into the box was pathetic, every final pass was pi$$ poor.

We show every single team far too much respect, we need to show a bit more fight and flair if we want any chance of survival, we do have the quality in the team to do this, we just need to show it.

Beaten by a better team, simple as that.

People need to realise that we can't continually pull games out of the fire against teams that are....In reality better than us.

All that, 'no passion' stuff is nonsense.

People are moaning about the lack of quality crosses that are coming into the box but they have to realise that there is an opposition out there, and in this division that we aspire to be in, they are top quality opposition. Our wingers came up against full backs that are unbelievably good. One is going to be England's left back for many many years, and the other, well we all know his quality and given the chance he could have an equally long career.

Totally agree Stirling, it has nothing to do with the British obsession with showing "Passion" but we do have some creative and inventive players in our squad, but Pulis just flatly refuses to trust them. Where has Pep disappeared to? Seriously could the skillful players give the ball away more often and carelessly as the current starting 11? Our back four were by far our best players today.

Today was a very dull game to watch and I believe that if it weren't for a silly and stupid mistake it would of been 0-0.

Back four were superb apart from maybe Moxey who mislaid a few too many passes.

KG was dreadful, losing the ball on attacks and in the wrong places when defending.

Bolasie was superb, but why does he only turn up for the second half? Second half most of the time he was unplayable.

I'd like to see either Ledley or Guidoira in that role that KG has and then we can have one more attacking player in that front 3.

Yes Southampton are a good team, but the frustration, (if you were there today), was poor passing and a lack of a cutting edge in the final third. Not strong enough in the midfield so nothing created or played up to Murray. All disappointing, i'm not stupid i know Southampton are good, but we never gave them a contest, we didn't look like scoring today and that s a worry.

Well from where I was sitting I thought we competed well and the effort was the to see. We just lack quality. Could of gone our way if they went down to ten men . We seem to struggle against sides who play iron the deck and keep possession .

Had it been a 0-0 draw, we would have been a lot more optimistic - clean sheet and picked up a point.

Fact is, puncheon made a mistake and we were punished - at this level, at this moment of the season we need every player switched on - from start to finish, with every kick and movement they need to be 100% committed and aware of what they are doing and what is around them.

Like the penalties at Spurs/Man U, like the poor defensive clearances like today and against stoke, those 5 moments of madness where we shut down after the half time break - we will get punished.

With Pulis he has turned things around - but the way the game is, the speed, the attention to detail, these players really need to earn the fortune they are paid.

If it is true that Punch is a sensitive guy, is he really the one we need in a relegation scrap? Compared to say a hungry home grown talent (Stu O'K as example).

While i'm at it, Holloway is muppet, look at who he signed - Kebe, Phillips, McCarthy, Marange, Grandin - come on now - if we had picked up 4 points more from his terrible spell, look where we would be.

Palace is a frustrating team to support - but i love 'em

Delany, playing with a broken nose - Speroni still on form, Ward being class..

Holloway signed McCarthy? obviously you have only turned up as a Palace fan this season .....

Have to agree. However, I don't think we played well and we were let down by the referee. Webb could easily have sent off Fonte and Lovren, and Webb never really dealt well with their persistent and cynical foul play.

The goal was poor, a bad mistake in midfield, the defender mistimed his tackle, and I thought Speroni (my favorite player) could have done better.

All in all not great. Mind you, I had us down for 1 point for the last two games so I'm not too pissed off.

As has already been pointed out, if we'd been even remotely competitive in the first ten games we'd be well clear. That's where the blame lays.
