KG is an overweight, Championship standard, immobile "footballer" (stress the "...". Can anyone remember one time this season he has done something, I mean, a pass, a clearance a tackle, never mind a good overal 90 minute performance.

He will never score a goal in the Premiership except maybe a bundled goal from a corner or soemthing, oh no wait, he'd only get those from Bannan's delivery who he is keeping out of the side.

Pulis must really see something we dont, why does he get a game every week and Bannan doesn't even get brought on as a sub?

Why not play Guedioura if you want more strength than Bannan? He's never disappointed?

Or SOK, a fans favourite who has ALWAYS, I repeat, ALWAYS performed

Guedioura's penalty give-away v Arsenal was disappointing.

I love SOK too, but think he has looked a little lightweight on occasion.

Has to be Bannan for me...

Don't get me wrong, this thread is really looking for opinions, and I feel most agree KG is being found out in this league.

I feel his form has dipped gradually over the season, and his weight issues won't go away.

I do not agree that he is not trying, as I believe every player is giving their best, I just feel we need more creativity as whoever is up front is feeding of scraps.

How we can say Murray needs changing(other threads) is amazing, as I don't even think Suarez would score in our team currently.

I am 100% a TP fan, and the job he has done is fantastic, but at this stage in the season going for the "we must not lose" approach in every game may not be enough, and the longer we play this system the more teams will start to suss us out, and start to play more attacking line ups with only 3 at the back.

I just feel KG is a very weak link currently, but I would keep him on the bench to replace an injured player (Jedi/Ledley), or to hold out if one up with 15 minutes left.

I also feel his poor play has knocked Jedi's form too, as I think he is having to cover two positions and he is struggling with this and getting over run.

KG is being picked as a defensive midfielder along with Jedi and Ledley and the clean sheet proves that they are all, in my opinion, doing what is required when we don't have possession, (75% of the time)but when we have it all are being found wanting.
All the years I coached in kids football I found that boys techniques and decision making was erratic and flustered all the time they were too busy learning a position and worrying about where on the pitch they should be. Once accustomed to a position the game becomes natural and everything improves.
The Palace boys have to know exactly where they should be at any given time on the pitch depending on the position of the ball. It's what TP preaches and he works a lot on shape and set pieces if stories about him are true. At the moment they all seem to be distracted and I put it down to it still not being automatic to them just where they should be any given time. It will come and they will become a better unit and then I assume we will be more of a threat going forward, I just hope it's in time. (Stoke were awful to watch, but they did attack teams). I don't have a theory as to why our set pieces are so s***e though.

Wow yet another KG thread.. These are getting tedious and quite frankly detrimental to spirit. All the managers we've had, play him.. If pulls wants to play him then that's good enough for me..miss was terrible and he's not been his best this year..

Keep the scapegoat threads going.

He's a palace player in a palace shirt and I'll support him along with the rest of the squad....

Voicing a view is one thing, continuous attacks on a player who gives 100% is utter rubbish. Bet most of you loved him wen he scored in front of us at Peterborough with a well taken goal in 93 min. Or his monster performance in the play off semis.. I question whether some people were even there anyway..

Also agree. He offers nothing & missing that chance to score possibly cost us the 3 points today.
I was disappointed to see he had made the team again. Not good enough & needs to be replaced by Ledley.

KG may be the reason for the 0 in Sunderland. It's the system, not him.

The systems fine, I don't like singling players out but if KG scored his sitter we would have won away from home against a better footballing side therefore the system was the correct approach winning 1 0= 3 points staying up, losing 4 3= no points and relegation.

Yes, as you say Eastend, the system was set up for someone to score when the chance came. But why was it KG and not Murray. A horrible, screwed up shot. What must have gone through KG head. He seemed to snatch at it. Not the right man in that position. But TP really has to gamble with the system to create more or we may be stuffed eventually.

Not a continuous attack by any means from me.

I just feel he is the weekest link out of the choices available, and his form has dipped since the start of the season.

This is my first time saying this, I just feel TP must start to look at some ways of becoming more creative whilst keeping our shape. Not against the top sides, but against teams like Sunderland we need to be a little more positive, as a point here and there will not be enough.

I still believe we will stay up, and maybe my nerves are getting the best of me, but this is my view and I stick by it!

With all due respect, i'm going to answer your condescending question by indicating that you've actually highlighted my exact point... Voicing an opinion whether it be on the HOL or twitter or whatever, is one thing (and by that I mean totally 100% valid) but week in week out same repetitive criticism is getting mildly frustrating. Even more frustrating than missing an 88th min sitter..

There are others who are huge underachievers in my eyes this year/season but wont get the criticism.

Not once did I disagree with the points made either. My point was all our managers pick him, Pulis picks him so that's enough for me, i'll support him. If we go down I'll ask questions (ie could Bannan/ Guediora done better? I dunno), if we stay up then fair F***** play to the man genius.

Murray had been substituted so would have been a miracle if it had fallen to him.
