....equates to a 2 game ban.

Jedi & Chamakh are currently on 8 apiece with Mariappa 1 behind on 7.

The cut off date is the second sunday in April(13th), which means that if either Jedi or Chamakh(if playing) get a couple of yellows in our 2 games, Cardiff Away/Villa Home they will incur a 2 game ban.

These will affect Everton away(weds 16th) & Wet Spam away(sat 19th). Also worth noting that Gareth Barry(Everton) is on 9 yellows, so big possibility he'd miss our game V's them.....

Thought...?

Do not get a YELLOW. !!!!

Palace 13th 2017/18.

Suspensions happen, which is a bit s*** and a side effect of being defensive.

But all teams are going to have this problem, I bet Aston villa are in the same boat, and Cardiff etc. I know Steven gerrard is a yellow off suspension and he's captain of a side chasing the title.

As per the FA.com site:-

The two categories of match are first team competitive matches and non-first team matches.
Premier League, Football League, Conference National, WSL:
Red cards in first team competitive matches result in immediate suspension from forthcoming first team competitive matches. Red cards in non-first team matches will take effect from the 14th day following dismissal.
Clubs at Step 2 and below: Red cards in first team competitive matches result in suspensions commencing on the 14th day following the match in which the player was sent off. Red cards in non-first team matches will be processed by the County Association to which the Club is affiliated.

Players on 9 cards are:-

Gerrard (Liv), Ramires (Che), Bardsley (Sun), Flamini (Ars) & Barry (Eve).

If you read that site carefully you will see it says the next game they are available to play in, Chamakh is injured so wont be named until he returns, Chamakh definitely has 9 yellow and is one away from a two match ban.

He missed the Villa away game due to getting a 5th yellow against Newcastle at home, and he's received 4 since.

Looking on the site, it has no one listed as being on 9 yellow cards.

Rather they played, than we're held is reserve. Better to play them, than to field a weaker team. Wet Spam will be a dreary f**king game and no mistaking - we can afford to go without one of them for that game.

I'd be happy to beat Villa with three red cards and Jedi and Chamakh picking up a yellow. Those three points would largely make the season done and dusted.
