Depends on his existing contract, and how much we're paying him. No doubt that staying up bonus won't hurt. Personally I think if we stay up (as looks very likely), we'd struggle without him next season.

I think in terms of individual quality we're probably the weakest team in the league. However, we have a manager who builds teams not on individual ability but around group functionality, in which the strengths of players is less important than the ability of the team to compensate for their weaknesses.

For example, we have maybe three players I'd say are goal scorers, and our first choice striker isn't one. However, we've become expert at using a front man who doesn't score goals, by using a midfielder who does to cover 'that aspect of the game', meanwhile our striker is quite good at closing down players, winning the ball, holding it up and laying off a pass.

Its a perversion of total football, rather than everyone being able to play any position, we compensate in weaker areas, from players in other positions.

And everyone plays as a defender (except Puncheon).

I like the cut of your gib and I'd like to subscribe to your news letter.
Providing you have one.

He won't be going anywhere.

Whilst at stoke he performed miracles and no one poached him. I think a lot of owners might consider our Pulis as a bit of an old dinosaur.

Exactly

Pulis was available (I think) when Sunderland, Cardiff and Fulham where looking for managers (maybe even WBA)

None went for him

Imagine this..... You take on a job in life in a poor position and you are asked to perform a miracle. You complete the desired task and you are hailed a hero by that employer and recognised by many others as a genius therefore being a king pin so to speak. Why on earth would you leave that job ? Unless he's offered a job by a top 6 team I can't see why he would leave or even want to leave. I think we need not worry about tony pulis and just keep our minds focused on the job in hand which although looks very good at the moment is still not completed.

If we stay up then I can see pulis only wanting to commit if he is given complete control. The alleged issues with Parish indicate he does not feel he currently gets this. Many people saw him as a long ball merchant who got lucky when he was at Stoke. The job he has done / may do at palace has risen his stock dramatically since he was last looking for work. I think he's a loyal guy at heart, but also no mug. I can't imagine he'll be prepared to take any interfering from Parish whatever happens...

I think our owners should do everything in their power to keep this man.
He is, by a long way, the best manager we have had in a very long while.
We are so lucky to have him.
It's almost a worry that other clubs will be looking in his direction.

I hope it stays, and I'm enjoying Palace under him. We need to remember that there is no loyalty whatsoever in football though.

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

And that's the worry.
There are bigger clubs out there who would take him in a heartbeat.
I'd hate that and I bet Stoke fans are feeling the same.

You just know it's gonna happen though.
Things are on the up.
It's all looking good and then Bam!
We get another Alan Mullery.
