Those of us who were there for the Ipswich game in '93 will not be making that mistake again. When the maths say we're safe, then we're safe.

Absolutely! But I think if we win next week against Villa then it will take some monumental results from the others around us to spoil the party, so I will be looking at their results more than ours.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand!

My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right.

I was there, seen all the heart break over the years. But this time, if we go down, I will eat your underpants. No, make that your wife's just in case.

Mathematically we are 10 pts from absolute safety now. This number will drop each week that we don't lose and all of our rivals don't win.

It matters not one jot what we as supporters think or say. We can retain a fear of still slipping up and getting relegated or we can dance naked in the streets prematurely celebrating staying up and we can discuss signing up Messi for next season and having a shot at winning the title.

We are Crystal Palace managed by Tony Pullis. Not one single player will be allowed to get carried away or above themselves. TP will keep them grounded and focused and they will be determined to beat Villa and secure another three points.

This is a manager who knows every aspect of his profession perfectly. We are just the fans and we should be celebrating two superb victories and the fact we have 34 points from 32 games - something very, very few would have thought possible at end October.

One more win please Palace.. if not 3 draws, which I feel is do able with our next 3 games. Great to see the two other teams we came up with, we have done the double over. That is pretty impressive.

WBA and Fulham have begun to find some form, so have we. Cardiff, Sunderland and Norwich hopefully will continue to lose confidence and form

Whereas I agree we are not safe yet...7 point gap means we have a nice amount of breathing space right now.

Like others have said...beat villa next week and were laughing

I was there in 1993 aswell.

This occured to me on drive home from Cardiff today.

Still remember that last day of the season at Highbury when Wright scored. Back then listening to a radio on the terrace. If I remember right Oldham went 4-1 up, then it was 4-3, we were all praying Southampton to score.

We are not safe yet but taken big steps in the right direction. Another couple of wins needed to be sure

Yes I was at Highbury listening to a radio too. Southampton got it back to 4-3 and then had a massive penalty shout turned down. I saw it later on tv and it was a full-on 100% penalty and it was impossible to say why the ref turned it down. That ref cost us our place in the top league. Le Tissier was in the Southampton team and he didn't miss pens.
Just found the match. Le Tiss scored all three Southampton goals and the ref was Howard King. T*sser.

Just one more win or three draws and we are safe!!
What a turn around since Pullis arrived, clearly when you consider what Greedman and Olly have done to their new clubs, a candidate for manager of the year.Pullis deserves nothing but respect for what he has achieved, given the position we were in when he arrived.
