He played very poorly IMO. Good at getting past Ward in the first half but that's what comes naturally to Wilf.

I don't think for a second he wasn't trying with us and it's always some guys "mate" with some insider knowledge.

Wilf is throwing his career down the drain and honestly, is sounding more and more like another useless idiot that can't break into any team the way he is going.

Fans always over-hype their players as we do with Wilf but whether he's getting first team football or not the one thing we can all see is that he has not improved at all.

Not yet cut out for the prem, still doesn't work for the good of the team in 90% of circumstances and I much like many other am wondering if he'll tap into his talents and hopefully learn how play as a team and how to cross in a good ball.

I can see him at 34 in league 1 or 2 and only ever played a handful of matches in the PL.

Harsh on wilf, actually mark Hudson went to my school ..few years below ,all my mates went down to their title winning celebrations , that's how this fella got the job in pr !!

christ, how many jobs could i have got then, going to various peoples mash ups?

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

Zaha means something to a lot of people at Selhurst.

He is loved here.......He played a big part in getting us promoted by providing the X factor and he was the difference in the semi final.

He came through the academy.....Every player that makes it into the first team from there is a little special to fans.

He bought ten million into the club.....Ten sodding million.

Zaha is fecking great and we would jump at the chance to have him back home. He's young but with the right handling he'd rip many an opposition a new one.

Quite agree.
All those points are salient and quite wonderful.
Thing is though , he doesn't play for us anymore.

Cardiff Players angry at Wilf might want to look closer to home, for example at their shoddy defending, lack of commitment and complete inability to close players down - We'd never have conceeded Puncheons first goal, and probably not his second either.

Leadleys, maybe, but you have to question how easily he ran through the back four, and how bad the challange was on chamakh when he went for the header.

Although wilf didn't have a great game, its not like they looked better without him. At least he was getting to the line, beating ward on occassion - Where was the midfield support coming into the box and the attackers?

I could understand complaint if they were breaking down our back four in the second half, but they didn't their wings were dead.

They weren't good with him, but there were worse without him.

I love Wilf and one of the best players I've seen at Palace, would have him back in a heartbeat. If not I hope he gets his career going again and goes on to be a top player.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

This. An exciting talent, who needs regular games. Cardiff might complain, but then they were happy the previous week when he set up their last minute goal.

Sometimes when the winger is having to perform tricks and step overs, its not because they're showing off, they're trying to buy time for bodies to get into the box.

I actually agree we will always back him because really he is one of our own but frankly his attitude stinks and if he did not come through our academy we would all be saying it.

What a load of tosh. Attitude stinks? He could have easily spent the last three months of last season coasting towards his pre-season with Utd. Instead he worked as hard as anyone and was the difference in us getting promoted.

Ever since he broke into the first team here he has put up with people doubting him.

Too lightweight turned into too greedy. That became no end product. That became doesn't work hard enough.

Every single one of those issues he addressed and proved his critics wrong.

He's had a rough nine months, but that's understandable given a) the conditions and pressure of his transfer(s) and b) he's 21.

Do we overhype our youngsters? Yes. Is is possible that Wilf isn't quite as good as we thought? Maybe. Is it fair to throw out accusations about his work rate and attitude with absolutely no basis? No.

And let's not forget that he was dumping his load up Moyes' daughter.
Allegedly.
Well played that man.
Personally, I wouldn't touch a ginger with a hot branding iron but you did, Wilf.
Well played.

He was no worse than any other Cardiff player from what I saw,
In fact the fans and players stank the place out on Saturday they were not in sync together and were well off the pace.
He's a target because he is on loan to them and the ship is sinking fast coupled with losing to the us 3-0 his former club,on these very boards a few months ago loan players were slagged off and told to f-ck off back to whoever.
They beat us 1-0 Saturday they wouldn't of looked for a scape goat.
Solskjaer picked him!

He did clap our fans when they had a corner were our fans were, we were singing "Wilfred Zaha, he wants to come home" etc.

When subbed he did go straight down the tunnel, didnt look very happy.

He is short of confidence after the season he has had. Would I have him back, yes as we all know what abaility he has when he is good. He also has a lot more ability then Boliase. Much that Boliase gives his all, his crossing is poor or it does not happen and he is not what you call a goal scorer.
