I hope large amounts of Humble Pie are consumed, not just the results have been good but I think we play the best football in the bottom half bar Swansea.

I'm fully happy to put my hands up and admit that I was completely wrong about pulis and misjudged his style of management. He has made us one of the hardest teams to beat in the league and other than the very negative performance at Sunderland (which I'm not denying was exactly how we had to play) then I think we've been pretty exciting going forward as well. Consider my humble pie eaten and desiring of seconds

I had no real pro or anti feeling towards Pulis to be honest

Although given I thought we were probably down and would have to rebuild in the Championship I wanted either Petrescu or Karanka as to be honest staying up was / is never the be all and end all for me

I just wanted the team to go down fighting - and then end up playing some silky continental stuff as we rebuilt

My problem is I still harbour thoughts of Palace being the English Barcelona, which although after 40 years of watching them and every bit of evidence pointing to the contrary I still dream

Out of the British names in the hat at the time such as Coleman, McCleish etc.. Pulis was the only choice we had that could have done this

Imagine the disaster that would have been Coleman - shuddering thought

What Pulis has done is simply use his experience to its fullest and outwit those other managers at the bottom feeders - games this season we have won purely because of him and his tactical nous...

Kudos for your honesty. It takes maturity to write a post like that. It's unfortunate that many others hide behind excuses when their predictions of doom or success don't pan out.

No one was completely against TP but wanted it known exactly what is to be expected. And we were right. A united, hard team who give nothing away but offer not much in attacking intention. Yesterday actually accentuated this fact. Started against a Villa side on the slide and shipping points by playing the usual two defensive midfielders. This was only changed because of injury to one of them and, once the team had the idea Palace went on to sweep the opposition away. TP was more or less forced into this against his better judgement I feel. Yes, his style works but at the cost of free style forward play and without using some very skilful players. Can we expect this to change? Only if we do what Stoke did. But it's too early in the confidence of Palace to move TP out. I hope those who doubted these facts now eat humble pie. The facts suggest you should!

Like Parish officially said I would have stuck with Holloway so we were fortunate when he effectively did the right thing for himself and us but leaving.....When he could have stayed and earnt a bit more.

In terms of a new manager I was interested in Petrescu but was happy with Pulis considering our position at the time.

Foreign managers can look very inviting but unless they have a history in the English game and good language skills I think they don't adapt well.

I tend to be one who backs the manager regardless of the results....if he is getting the best from his group of players (we aren't the best team in the world).

I expected us to be relegated because I regarded us as being in the bottom three on playing squad talent..And we were well on the way to that happening...I still think that there is a much of a muchness about many of the sides in the bottom half.

What has made the difference is the 'Pulis effect' and system and how our players have responded to it.

By sticking to his methods we have elevated ourselves enough to be a mid table side.....Which considering what he had to work with really is 'manager of the year' stuff.

Parish has had a lucky touch when it comes to appointing or indeed losing managers.....We have been very fortunate and occasionally I wish some of our more excitable fellow fans would sometimes stop and realise that......And then I realise that.....I might as well wait for Grimsby to win the champions league.
