Can't help thinking the real problem is being missed here. It's not that someone at Palace was given a bit of (duff) information concerning a match opponent, but rather more we are not privy to. Does Tan suspect someone at Palace (Moody) actually offered a bribe for a Cardiff player to take a dive or something that may have affected the result?. Seeing the way his team played, Tan is hurt and suspicious. But he can't say too much as it would be an unfounded and litigatious comment. A bit of mud slinging though.

It seems appropriate that today is Spy Wednesday.

If moony did get the team sheet and passed the info on to TP to use, do you think he would of used it? A man that fined 2 players publicly for diving I don't think TP would he does have something that appears to be lost in football which is integrity.

Well he fielded the same team and played a similar style to we did at Chelsea. It looked better and more attacking, because ultimately Cardiff are not as good as Chelsea, but ultimately we went out with view to restrict Cardiffs chances, build from counter attacks and minimise the loss of possession in vulnerable areas of the pitch.

So no, tactically we played the same way against Cardiff as we have against most teams since he came in.

Not that that's ever stopped him.

theres a piece on this today in the mail, page 81. basically it says they dont have a leg to stand on unless they were paid for the info, but apparently the team sheet was wrong anyway....

Do you think we should ask for our money back?

I like this comment. Do them under the Trades Descriptions Act on the basis that we could've won 9-0 if we'd had the correct lineup and therefore we'd be 11th in the league right now on goal difference instead of a lowly(!) 12th. That's worth about 900k in prize money at the end of the season so I think Cardiff owe us our money back on the teamsheet plus 900k in damages.

Unbelievable utter rubbish. But since when do football authorities act with common sense ? Thats what worries me...

"Cardiff claim they have proof Moody was successful and argue that this not only breaches Premier League rules, which state that clubs should act in good faith to one another, but calls into serious question the integrity of the match.

"Put simply, they say Crystal Palace cheated and want the League to take serious action.

"So far the BBC has not been able to obtain a response from Crystal Palace but the club have previously denied the claims. The big question the League must answer is who exactly knew what and when. But with Cardiff facing relegation, this has the potential to become a big headache for the game's authorities."

"In a five-page letter from Cardiff's lawyers to the Premier League, obtained by the BBC, the Welsh club insist their 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace should not be allowed to stand.

"They allege the Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis was aware of attempts by the club's sporting director Iain Moody to obtain Cardiff's starting line-up for that match at least 24 hours before the game."

Cardiff's 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in early April should not be allowed to stand, the Welsh club have said in a five-page letter obtained by the BBC.

The document, sent by club lawyers to the Premier League, alleges Palace boss Tony Pulis knew sporting director Iain Moody was trying to obtain Cardiff's starting line-up before the game.

Cardiff claim they have proof Moody succeeded and say this breaches league rules but the BBC has not been able to obtain a Palace response, though the club have previously denied the claims.

The Premier League strugglers go on to state that clubs should act in good faith to one another and calls into serious question the integrity of the match.

They say Crystal Palace cheated and want the Premier League to take serious action.

They were comprehensively beaten and just can't take it, clutching at straws. They should man up, even if we lose those 3 points it ain't going to make a lot of difference to their league position. Anyway in plain English, fvck em, they would say the same to us if it was the other way round.

Although it's all a load of nonsense and had no effect whatsoever on the result, if Moody did it, I wish he hadn't
