I'd actually momentarily forgotten about JW. Says it all really. He'll be a little gem for someone but not us. (Would love to be proved wrong, but I can't see how he fits, especially when we play two up front, there's just no room for him)

He doesn't fit into a TP future at Selhurst for the same reason Bannan doesn't.

He's too short.

TP's modus operandi........

You complaining about Bannan not being in the side when Bolasie and Puncheon have been smashing it.

I think Williams is very much a Pulis player, dedicated hard working and committed, the problem was consistancy and injuries, meant that he was always going to be behind Bolaise and Puncheon.

Most managers are partial to big players, due to their stability and arial threat. But if Williams wasn't considered one for the future, he'd have been sold in January for extra funds, rather than loaned out.

I think that for Johnny to progress next season he has to be utilized in more of a wide position cutting in and causing damage. The middle of the park for us is more about breaking down the oppositions play so that we can hit teams on the break. That job is taken care of by Jedi and KG.

From the highlights I've seen of him at Ipswich, he seems to be causing damage from the flanks, whether cutting in or crossing from the byline. Hopefully he can fit in with us next season.

Not knowing what league we'd be in next season was why he was loaned rather than sold (if anyone wanted to buy him that is). It made no sense to sell him in Jan and at least he has been "in the shop window and playing" at Ipswich. He'll have to work little socks off in preseason but unfortunately I think he'll be ousted by new signings. Likely to be loaned out again until Xmas to a promoted team maybe and sold in Jan window depending on our league status. The boy now needs top level football and if it's for us or someone else all i'd wish him the best. Great young professional

Unfortunately Palace have a tradition of developing youngsters and letting them go. My problem is the sale cost is often far to little. But Joniesta is not fully developed yet, so TP will not let him go yet.

So did Zaha the season before we sold him and if he hadn't we'd probably got £5m for him. The new contract for Jonny is added resale value if and when he is sold.

im a fan of KG but would love to see his tenacious play alongside jedi...his passing ability from that position would be awesome for the team...as lets face it neither jedi or KG are blessed with passing ability.

on another note, if we had williams playing that role, with ledley further up the pitch, the two of them could nicely swap positions during the match, and create a great partnership in those central position.

if we were to buy a midfielder of his "ilk" for lets say 5m, we would effectivly simply be paying 5m for an extra foot in height!

hes at the club, hes come thru the ranks, and is arguably the best central midfield player this club has brought through since southgate...we have to utilize his ability if he has a decent pre-season fitness wise.

Too much of a risk to let him go without a run in the prem.Saying that another half season at Ipswich wouldn't harm.At his age you don't let them go too soon unless top money is on the table.
