Short memories!

Not short memories it is just Wilf has been pretty s***e in the premier league Yannick hasn't.

You say that but his assist to game ratio is higher than Bolasie and, as you say he's not been playing that well. It says a lot really, for those who want to see.

But assist rates can be misleading. Look at the first goal against Everton. Yannick created the opportunity but Chamakh got the assist. I have watched lots of Wilf at Cardiff he loses the ball so much. Premier League Full backs fear the pace and strength of Yannick. Not so much the tricks that Zaha does.

But then comparing a player left our to dry after his dream move and one who has stayed with the team he knew and given 100% faith/support is also misleading.

Bolasie was not the player he is now at the start of the season. He has really upped his game since the turn of the year. Zaha hasn't had that chance and basically been told he couldn't come back to us and then thrown into a struggling team with a manager who is very inexperienced after 5 months of no competitive football.

Don't forget he was voted player of the pre-season for Utd.

I'm not putting Bolasie down in any way but I think the critics of Zaha are forgetting the season he has actually had.

I don't forget it. His good games and the fact he game from our academy has flattered to deceive some fans. When he played well he was great but he went missing so much last season and Bolasie outshun him from January last year IMO. Zaha was playing pretty poor for a while last year, but performances in the Play off final was superb. Wilfs goals in the semis also masked an overall awful performance to. If we can get Wilf back for 3 I would take it if over 5 BIG NO from me.

I don't think so, yes he went missing for a few games and it generally coincided with media speculation so it obviously got to him but, whilst he is on the pitch, there is always the chance he will do something that wins a game for you. That is not something that can be taught where as mentality and consistency is. Yala has had a lot more game-time than Zaha this season, and previously. He's moved clubs and has dealt with it all before. He was very inconsistent last season also and for the first half of this after returning from injury.

Regardless of his performances at Cardiff, against us he left Ward for dead 3 times in the space of 5 mins and no-one this season has. Had they actually got the ball to him down the flanks after that they may have had a few more chances but they decided to push him inside and generally not give him the ball.

I wouldn't pay more than 5m to get Wilf back but given a run of games in an environment he is happy in and I have no doubt he will be more than good enough for this level.
