I think its quite easy to obtain mid table obscurity on a regular basis. We are basically at the top of a 10 team league. All the teams below us are extremely mediocre to put it mildly. There are only about 8 decent teams in this league. If you have got a quality manager with nous, which we have, you can stay in this league for as long as you like. It will become a bit mundane which is why Stoke and Charlton fans started to get bored and demanded a change. It paid off for Stoke but not for Charlton.

Utter Tosh, of course it isn't easy. Player for player every team in the Premiership is superior to ours. I think the effort of the team and management has been absolutely fantastic and I find it incredible that you can belittle our achievement like this. It will take us many years to get player parity with most of the 'mediocre' teams and until then our club will need to work incredibly hard if we're to stay in this league.

I am not belittling our achievement at all. What TP has done is little short of miraculous. What i am talking about is once you are established in this league and you have the right manager, which we most certainly have it is relatively straight forward to stay there. It is taking it to the next level that is the problem. This season Pulis proved how brilliant he is by lifting us from a position of no hope. Next season we will level with the rest and i fully expect TP to keep us there again

We wont be level with the rest next season or for several more seasons should we manage to 'achieve the impossible' again. We start millions down on squad value and the majority of teams that finish in the prem this year have greater annual income than us so can spend significantly more in the close season. We can catch up but it will take some time and probably a higher capacity stadium before we get there,

In PULIS WE TRUST after all he has kept us in the Premier League for the first time in the club's history.
He has got the best out of the players by playing to our strengths and has got results PURE GENIUS.
Thank Steve Parish and the board for having the foresight to go and get our man,I bet there are a few teams at the bottom of the League in the Relegation Battle that wish they had a PULIS.
Well done Tony and your backroom Staff,All the Palace Players and Squad and especially CPFC 2010 for saving the Club and bringing it to another Level.

Thing is this isn't football like Pulis played at Stoke.
I don't think I'll ever tire of a solid defence with two quick wingers breaking with pace and trickery. I'll never tire of a Chamakh or a Williams playing behind a striker.

I think football is most exciting when you have tricky widemen. If Pulis continues with this I'll be more than pleased.

I don't think you can tire of a manager who can get us to mid table mediocrity. The only way we can achieve more is if an uber rich owner buys the club and ploughs £££££ millions in, and that probably isn't going to happen, so long live Sir Tony Pulis, may he be manager of the mighty Palace for years to come!

Are you sure this is correct.
You were not at West Ham were you.?

So what if we don't play beautiful slick football scoring boat loads of goals and play what some call boring football. I for one will take the boring football and the 1 nils as long as it means we are winning and pushing for mid table or even not mid table but security of staying up then so be it. We may not have the great players people think about that other teams have we have a team something that alot of other clubs don't have. we don't have any one star in the team or any primadonnas we have a group of lads that work together and work for each other. So bring on the defending and breaking on the counter and 1 nils. Will take that for premiereship status.

All them clubs you named, they made there mistakes, If you look at Pulis, he will keep us in the prem for years! It takes time to get signings and get closer and closer to the Europa place! I can't believe you would already mention about Pulis being boring, pathetic

For me he can stay as long as he wants. He seems to relish a challenge and comes up with different ideas depending in the situations. If he chose to leave how good to have Keith Millen serving his apprecntiship under TP ready to take over. I think the board have learnt a lot from Freedman's and Holloways departures and whenever TP goes I am sure his replacement would be a more natural choice!,,
Things off and on the pitch are really good and in safe hands in all departments.

I've rarely been bored at home matches since TP took over. Norwich was a bit lame and Newcastle did a professional job on us that all we could do was loft it long and down the middle. Apart from that the season has been gripping. You turn up expecting the worst, then as the game goes on, you sense what is possible. Before TP (& KM on his own it must be said) you just accepted the situation and remembered how the finances were worth the football medicine we were taking.

We and TP in a way have been a bit lucky that the style couldn't be changed too much and we have a style which we can be built on. I mean, you'd now have to be a complete fool to decide to ditch what we do now and buy a 6' 7" target and play 9 table top footballers to loft it to him. Even Etherington and Pennant were under orders to get it over from the touchline and as soon as they were 20 yards from the corner flag.
