I hit quote instead of edit on my previous post by accident. No need to repeat myself, except that I'm having more and more senior moments these days.

Still can't see anything happening in the next five years, in fact I'd be surprised if we have a new/refurbished ground inside 10 years. To much negotiating, 'bribing' to be done for much to move on soon.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

there was talk, during the great AW days of moving to Purley Way. Then it was a big, empty space. What's it like nowadays?

Appears to be lots of open land between Beddington Lane
and London Road Hackbridge (beyond the sewagw works) with possible access from both and link to Hackbridge station. Always thought this a reasonable location for a 30K stadium with big car park and bus facilities but think most land is in Sutton rather than Croydon which may or not be a problem.

Too far away from Crystal Palace for me. We must not forget that even though we play in the borough of Croydon, we are not exclusively a Croydon club. We are in a unique position (which is also a hindrance!) of representing 3/5 borough.

If we move to Sutton or further south into Croydon we might as well change our name from Crystal Palace to Croydon United.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

jesus - have you tried driving anywhere near that place during 'normal' hours let alone when 25-30k people are heading there? Never in a month of sundays would that be a good site, even if they did get rid of the golf club/quarry/landfill/planned incinerator. They'd have to build a new railway line, more roads (croydon road is one permanent queue) probably and airport too just to make sure.
