A bit of a let down yesterday but to be fair, we were beaten by a very good city team who should really have walked the league this year.

Toure would probably get in a world XI at the moment!

The game was summed up for me when two of heir players (Fernandinho and someone else) closed down one of ours late on. We got a free kick (not sure it was) but it showed the work they put in as we'll as the obvious class they had.

The spouse game will be different as all their strength is going forward

First time I saw Toure play live yesterday. I sit in the Arthur and could see his pace bombing it down the wing. Never appreciated how fast he is for such a big guy.

Toure is just rapid, though had the game have meant something to us I would imagine someone would have taken the yellow and just tripped him up as he went through for the 2nd goal. Nevertheless he seems to just stroll around the midfield with great passing before turning into a winger the next minute, a very special player

A couple of weeks ago there was a post telling our captain MJ was (statistically) better than Toure. Well, statistics don't tell the whole truth...!

while I really like Jedinak, those statistics obviously ignore the importance of the Goals and Assists categories. Yaya operates better than all but 2 or 3 of the Prem's strikers in that capacity.

I honestly do not think those of you have commented negatively on Ince and/or Murray know too much about football.

Ince was on for what, 15 minutes. His first taste of first team action since another 15 minutes at Sunderland several weeks ago. You could see quite clearly that he is learning what TP is teaching and was tracking back - something he did not do in his starts for us in early February.

Ince is a talent, raw but with huge potential. If we sign him we have got a real steal and clubs will be offering millions for him in, say, two years time.

The anti-Murray gang are also a tad clueless. Nine months out with a terrible injury and then back to a team now playing in a higher division. Needs to find his feet, find his form and see if he can cut it at this level - personally i believe he can. But to have a go after an few cameo appearances and a couple of starts is just plain bonkers.

His injury also comes with a psychological element. It is hard to trust the knee not to 'go' again, which affects speed of reaction and costs valuable seconds..

City were very good. And we dipped below our recent high standard. Perhaps only Chamakh looked the part..

Also the fact that Toure can pss the ball.

It's one thing to buy the best players money affords, but the management have to know how it works. I'd love to think TP and the club do, but.......How exactly do you make a team of top jacks do the business? All track back and tackle? City didn't. Sweat buckets at high speed? City didn't. Chop down the better opponents? City didn't. It's another level completely.

If TP doesn't have the knowledge and can only provide a good championship side with a few more tricks, then this may be why Stoke 'moved him on'. Hope I'm wrong. But the missing link was obvious today, no matter how well the Eagles played

Our entire back 5 cost 4 months of Toure's wages. We will never be able to compete because they're bigger, stronger, quicker, more technically gifted, have been coached by the very best their entire lives and therefore are the best players in the world.

You're right, it is another level of completely, don't expect us to reach it because you'll only be disappointed. There are probably 3 teams in the world who can hope to match City when they're playing to their ability and Palace aren't going to join that group anytime soon. Just enjoy the ride, please, and don't be one of those people in a year's time is complaining because we haven't kicked on and aren't sat in the top 8.
