The banner was a f'kin embarrassment!!!!!!!!
The fact that City have rich owners should in no way detract from the feelings of their loyal fans. They were still pulling in crowds of 20thou+ when in the third tier for heavens sake!

HF, you've been great but this poor effort done us no favours. I hope you learn from this 'EPIC FAIL'.

Thank f*** your not in charge of displays and song sheets mr happy.

The world was a mess but his hair was perfect!

If I were in charge of displays they'd be about OUR TEAM, not the opposition. And yeah, I'm generally happy bud as many will qualify. I guess you're young and at a loose end?
We're all Eagles so maybe just chill? And should you be part of the HF then learn by Sundays mistake. Here's hoping

The poster is just a bit of hyperbole, ffs.

If Durham has an issue with it, then he should also take issue with every team who's fans chant 'we're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen'. When quite evidently, unless you're maybe Barca, that is patently untrue and delusional.

Have to say I didn't really think the banner works against City. They may have money now but their fans have been through thick and thin, credit to them for sticking by in the league 1 times. The banner would have been far better against Chelsea who have no soul.

Yeh, I always liked the Man City fans, especially after they were really nice at SP before the final against the Moaners. Used to like Maine Road as well. Maybe the banner would have been better used against Chelsea but it still worked perfectly well. They are where they are because of money in the end, and we are where we are because of Saint Tone and the spirit of the team. With a bit of help from the fans as well.

Adrian Durham?
Never heard of him. Does he work on Radio Mayday or something.

You obviously do know who he is as his first name hasn't been mentioned in this thread until you mentioned it

You got me there, I am really his boyfriend but in denial at the same time. Dont want people knowing I do Gingers.

Get it right, THEY do you and THEY'RE the ones wanting to keep quiet about it through embarassment.

I don't know how many of you have followed Talksport since the off around ten years or more ago, but I wish someone would publish a recording of Adrian Durham's voice at one year intervals. His self workingclass-ification has been absolutely hilarious. He started off with a middle England accent and was very much the schoolboy Nigel in a DJ line-up of ex-footballers and failed Fleet Street hacks. But with each passing year he's dropped a few more "h's" and cockney-fied his "r's" to the point where he's nearly re-invented himself as the second coming of Ray Parlour. I think from time-to-time Durham makes interesting points but as a person, particularly with the above in mind, he's a complete t***.

Never heard this Durham bloke personally, but I also question why we had to have a go at Man City with that banner.

Citeh fans were the ones that had to look at it and from my experience they are good supporters of the club who have endured years of misery in Manure's shadow.

We didn't have that banner for the Chelsea game?

Lets restrict our banners to positive things about Palace from now on.

I made this point on the atmosphere thread, as great as the HF are, they are constantly 'on the offensive' its always 'we hate you' 'we are better than you' etc etc. songs about brighton, millwall etc.

All of the old school palace songs the EVERYONE joined in with, now get overchanted by the poxy postcode song.

I stood and watched the ring leader on sunday looking back up the B block as the guys at the back started a chant. withing a few lines, he was waving his hands an getting the front rows to sing a different song and eventually they drowned each other out. It happens time and time again.

Guys, keep up the good work but support the team, let others join in and you will make a lot more noise I can asure you. A large amount of those in the B block have been there singing longer and louder than you have.

My point exactly.
The HF have been great but equally situations such as this do nothing for 'the soul' of OUR club. Rather than being a worthy 'splinter group', chat to the AW and bring us all together.......then hopefully the rest will follow. That should be the goal

Is the AW organised then? To whom should the HF chat? It would be excellent if they did get organised, having two sets of Ultras would be amazing.

Anyone in Block E want to set up an old geezers' Ultras? I'm in if you do.
