Punch can do it in the Prem and Wilf can't yet. Punch at the moment is a better player.

I'll repeat what a few people have said already:

Doesn't matter who's better. Let's have 'em both, then!

Puncheon, Jedinak, Ledley, Wilf in midfield would be a ghastly sight for any defense trying to clear the ball

Bolasie deserves his place in our starting 11

Wilf great last season outstanding in the play offs and will always be loved for that.

Punch playing a division up, scoring goals for fun in key 1-0 3-point wins, and with the great TPs influence puts in a shift for the team when on the backfoot. Could never see Wilf doing that - didn't do it for Man U, not doing it for Cardiff.

Wilf has a lot to do to match JP's work rate, and JP never goes missing in the 90 minutes. Can remember towards the end of last season in Holloway's darkest days, you would sometimes forget Wilf was on the pitch.

JP always there and always a threat. Definitely in my starting 11 for next year.

Well done Jason - you proved a lot of people wrong.

1) Wilf never got the chance for Man Utd. so how can you judge him on non existant performances? As for playing for Cardiff, that shower would make Ronaldo look sh1t.

2) you seem to forget how ineffective Puncheon ws at the start, how he couldn't control a football let alone score.

3) As for never going missing during 90 minutes, are you kidding me? see point 2 above. During his early tenure he was positively invisible at times.

4) Funnilly enough, now his confidence is up, Punch is a threat alot of the time, as was Wilf when he was on a high. Remeber the Playoffs Vs Brighton, thats right, Wilf was sh1t then wasnt he?

I presume this is you Jason? Thanks for the points mate but you could look like you gave a f*** sometimes and that's the difference between you and Wilf...he showed passion for the club and not just for himself.

That's very, very harsh and quite unfounded on Puncheon's part. On Wilf's part, you could very easily argue that once he secured his United deal, he put his feet up until about April and suddenly decided to wake up again for the play-offs. I'm not sure that's true, and it seemed he was carrying an injury, but I certainly wouldn't be putting Wilf in the Aki/Hughes class or Punch in the Julian Gray class. Much of a much.

Bolasie's a guy who could shift up front if needed, like Michu did for Swansea last year.

It's all theoretical and moot anyway isn't it? I don't imagine ManU's new manager selling back a guy just because Moyes didn't find him useful before getting the sack.

Thankyou, some common sense at last. There's more chance of Wright and Bright re-signing for us for next season.

Give Wilf to Pulis for a full pre-season. IF he adapts to and thrives under the new regime he will be a force of nature. All the positives you see in Punch will be expressed with interest through Wilf.

Unfortunately, I can't see Man U wanting to sell; us being able to afford the buy-back cost; or Wilf wanting to come back.

What an absolutely ridiculous thread! 2 completely different players. I don't even know where to begin...Puncheon doesn't go missing!? F*** me I don't think I even realised we had a player called Puncheon until he put that penalty out the ground at White Hart Lane.

He has scored important goals of late, but let's not get carried away here. Wilf is in a completely different league.
