Fairly delusional, Zaha is by far the better option. One season of not playing more than substitute for massively underperforming teams doesn't make Puncheon better.

Puncheon is good, no mistaking, but he has a terrible history of inconsistency, underperformance and not turning up for games. He's been excellent for us under Pulis, and I think Pulis has brought the best out of him, like Warnock did with Ambrose.

But a great season in the championship does not make him better then Puncheon.

Murray scored 31 goals in the championship last season does that make him a better goal scorer then Luis Suarez who scored less in the premier league.

You talk about consistency and forget last year Wilf had a period when he was truly awful.

I don't think you can compare them at the moment. What you could compare is how good was/is each player whilst they played, or are playing for Palace.

If this is compared Wilf is miles better, some say he went missing at times but where was Jason for the majority of this season it's really only the last 12 games he's done very well.

Wilf plus Murray equalled promotion. If he was not with us last season we would not be in the prem. IMO

Wilf at Palace=Championship ripping teams up like Barnsley and Bristol City.

Puncheon at Palace=Premier League ripping teams up like Everton and Chelsea.

Really Punch ripping teams up !!!!!!! I don't think so he scored couple of goals blimey that's all. How much was Punch bought for ? How much was Wilf sold for. And that's from people in the game that know a lot more about it all than u and me.

Edited by wainesworld (03 May 2014 6.26pm)

Marouanne Fellani was bought for 20 Million and was s*** do you know more then David Moyes. Fact is Wilf will end up like another Scott Sinclair if he was a true professional he would play well because he loves football. I don't buy all this he needs love bollocks he has been given plenty of time to impress at Cardiff and has been s*** most games. But hey ho its not because Wilf is not a premier league player but because he came from our academy and nothing is his fault. Punch has scored 7 goals as an out and out winger and scored a few for Southampton last season and his goals have kept both sides up. But Wilfs better because he got a 15 million transfer and run Barnsley Ragged.

Have you watched all the Cardiff games start to finish when he's been playing?

You're just a troll, why don't you fvck off to the Wet spam site.

Just because I don't share your view and think Puncheons a better player stop being a keyboard hard nut because your starting to piss me off now so just ignore my posts please or better yet just f*** off in general. Puncheon has done it in the prem Wilf has not that's all you need to know. He wont come back anyway. He will be like Scott Sinclair Mark 2 if he does not sort his attitude out.

I'll explain it sh1t for brains, you are constantly stating that 'our' players are sh1t.

Why don't you answer the question I previously posed, wet spam troll?

Wilfried Zaha is not our player. I defend our players. Puncheon is our player. Zaha is not simple.

Not once have I said our players are s*** in fact I am always the first to defend the ones everyone scapegoats. KG, Jerome ETC.

Oh my f***ing god. When Puncheon could've done what Wilf did to teams in any league in the world last season, be it prem or league 2 - let me know. There's a massive difference between the 2. People are f***ing deluded and have ridiculous memories on here I swear to god. He has been managed poorly as soon as Holloway stepped in up until now and that is what went wrong. But comparing him to Punch after last season? Even in the championship, really? f***ing hellll

I'm not doubting Wilfs Talent. But who would I rather in my team and who is the better footballer.
Puncheon not to say Wilf wont go on to be a special player but people need to stop making excuses for him not adjusting to premier league football. Maybe he is simply not good enough yet rather then "Managed Poorly"

The bit in bold is irrelevant as he obviously couldn't do the flash skills but does that make Wilf a better player when Puncheon contributes with goals, assists and chance creation.

Plus the games I have seen of him. I am not being funny but if he plays poorly MOTD and the papers highlight it. If they were giving false reviews it would be saying how great he is because he is a young English talent. Frozen out of the England u21 squad, not getting games for Cardiff, ineffective whenever he plays in the premier league, Pundits and all of the football world saying he is not up to it. But he is after all better then Puncheon because we saw him nuture and run rings around championship sides.

Just so you know I was there on Wilfs first home start(I think) when he scored against Leicester under Burley we won 3 2 I think Lee and Ambrose got the others.

See, you can debate properly. If you take note, I haven't come down one side or the other re Wilf & Punch, they're different players. I heard Shearer's comments re Wilf last week but he is just one player on loan in the Cardiff team, why Shearer picked on him, I really don't know. I saw yesterday's highlights and Wilf was their best player and took on prem defenders, that you state he can't/hasn't done, so you're argument fails there.

You say that the papers would normally exaggerate a young English talent, what planet are you on, the Sun just before every major tournament 'discovers' some bomb shell that relates to someone in the squad or the manager, they want to sell papers and have zero interest in reporting anything like the facts.

Listen this debate is doing my head in you aint going to convince me and I aint going to convince you. We will have to agree to disagree but please take your troll and west ham comments back as they are both false and I dislike West Ham more then most clubs

I would have Wilf before Puncheon any day. Class if permanent and form temporary. Let's buy him back - making a decent profit still - and give him a run of games in Prem.

Maybe if Moyes had shown him some faith - he looked ok in Charity shield - then he may not have got sacked!!

I would also have Moses in the team ahead of Puncheon. This is not saying he hasn't had a good few months, but there are better players around and if we can now attract them and build on this season let's do it.
