It's certainly spreading round the ground. From my vantage point in the Arthur, I swear I could detect movement in the Main Stand when Gayle equalised.

You're getting overexcited here, that is an obvious lie

Im one of those in the main stand (block E) and i can assure you we were all going nuts in those last 15-20 mins monday night. I can honestly say in 30 odd years of supporting this club monday night was something special and the atmosphere was simply amazing. Best night at selhurst in many a year!!!

I had to sit in the Holmesdale Upper for the game Monday night and everyone around me was in a great mood and in full voice.

Some decent blokes around me who were all in good spirits even at 3 down. Also hugged 3 complete random strangers when we equalised.

As long as expectations don't get sky high and people keep remembering where we've been and were we come from the atmosphere will remain the best in the league.

Day-trippers are always expected, as long as they are kept to a minimum.

I sit down the opposite end of the HF and i shout my loudest regardless of who is sitting next to me. One thing I do find a bit frustrating is keeping in time with the HF and AW. When the whole of the holmesdale gets going its hard to sing as one. Bur I suppose having the whole stand singing is better than just part of it even if it is out of time. Lets face it even on an average day our support is still better than majority of clubsbut it is hard to keep up a high level every game but we sure as hell try. I think as long as we keep it up any new fans will pick up what we are all about and help to improve the atmosphere.

one of the reasons we can get a great atmosphere is because our ground is so behind the times eg the roof and shape of the AW helps with acoustics

we have an advantage that we can learn from the soulless bowl type new build stadiums which a lot of clubs have gone for but not yet us

I would love to see safe standing incorporated into the rebuild of the stadium with safe standing areas at all the four corners (often have corner areas for standing in the Bundesliga) - that would give noise from all around the ground onto the pitch not just from two main areas like now - don't give the away fans one of the corners, perhaps let the HF have one of them and the AM another and another perhaps for under 18s to let them stand for cheaper prices and sing together and get them committed for life - could even get some friendly rivalry going between the four standing areas

well done the HF and the AM by the way

No it's true !

During 'stand up if you love palace' I couldn't believe my eyes as the whole ground stood up. Even the main stand - it was like watching an old zombie movie as they slowly got off their seats to stand !

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

Except for the soon to be 62 year old trolley.

I can only see the holmesdale fanatics getting bigger and taking a larger area and lets face it they are the driving force for the great atmosphere.

Said it before and I'll say it again...they should start having designated singing areas in ALL the stands

I completely agree and I think they should maybe extend the HF section to first 10 rows of block c as well
