Never bother with polls. All they do is give the award to the team with the most armchair support. While a jury system is flawed, it at least shows the saves being judged by peers.

Rooney will win GOTS for the same reason. For me, that goal was class but as much down to GK error as anything. There were better [that Norwich goal the same day for instance]. Don't waste your vote.

Using this logic, I guess Giggs will win Manager of the Year

Most certainly not European.

David Moyes gets my vote. If I had one.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I actually think the first of the Marshall saves was the best they showed (not that I voted for it - obviously). I don't think Speroni's save was his best of the season by a long way, it wasn't even the best save in that game!

Tim Howard made some incredible saves this season that were not on the list and Joe Hart made an unbelievable save against us when he got man of the match....

Public Polls just toll how stupid the general population are, or what bad taste they have. That said, glad to see Jules in at number 3.

Flawed poll.

The keeper of the club with the most supporters will always win it, whether it was the best save or not.

Just like the one they did for Manager of the year then? Between Rodgers and Pulis. Except Pulis had about 65% of the vote.

Optimistic as ever
