In 1969-1970 season 19 of those 20 teams you name (including Palace) were together in the old first division. The only club not present was Villa.

It's hard to not include once big clubs... like forest, leeds etc. The premiership is a whole different beast these days. I think Wimbledon, purely for the commitment to get their club back, deserve a shot. I like Bournemouth in it, i don't think Newcastle deserve to be in it. I'd like Gillingham and Maidstone United in the premier league for the simple reason I'd have two nice local away days!! and chelski relegated, other than that I don't really care!!
